Only 40 people voted so far why don' t you let the panthers run there own business, since the formation of the elite league the panthers have raised the average attendance from 4000 to 5000 so they must be doing something right This forum has existed for many years and people ( though less pen comments as used to) enjoy debate and are the bread and butter of the type who also put money into the club. Give them some slack also, they come up with some ideas actually and maybe some the club ought to take up OR indeed ignore. The option to not believe you can improve is far worse surely? Many view but never contribute.

I fully understand most of the arguments discussed both positive & negative. However just to reflect on the poll based on the assumption everybody has voted with Yotes original brief(In theory you are able to attend every game but would you if there was a webcast in place). Out of circa 40 votes 25% are saying they may chose not to attend a game on occasion. All of these are also votes by individual people but how many of those votes would mean more than 1 person not attending a game(family members predominantly)?! The reality is all of those people wouldn't miss the same game but that %, all be it a very small sample size tells me currently Panthers are making the correct decison.

I'd happily pay the same as a season ticket for a season's webcast pass. Heading down to the arena isn't really an option unfortunately.

I agree with Mr black on this. Most of the webcasts are shocking quality and would dumb down the product. If we are going to televise the matches we need to do it properly which would cost a fair bit more. The exclusion zone may be a possible but in reality we rarely sell out the arena. I am yet to watch a webcast and not feel disserpointed. The action can be followed for free on Twitter and the high lights are on panthers TV.

the high lights are on panthers TV. Well, sort of. The highlights from the Belfast game were very basic, and may even have been shown in the wrong order. The coverage on GMTV is poor, almost not worth showing at all. And The Locker Room still doesn't seem to have reappeared as far as I know?

I agree to some extent on the quality, although those in big arenas with better lighting and camera positions like the NIC tend to be better than those in the small rinks. But surely the whole point is that it's NOT meant to be a match for the live experience, it's something you can watch if you can't make it to the game that the club can use to bring in some extra revenue. Essentially, you need to be able to follow the action, with replays and a few graphics (game and penalty clock on screen, scores etc.), that's all.

Have to disagree with this, Coventry, Sheffield, Belfast, Dundee are superb webcasts, ours in Cardiff is much better now and shot in HD, haven't seen Edinburgh yet so can't comment, panthers are the only team in our conference to not have one. Myself I think that's a shame as its a great venue to film in, I never travel to away games but always buy the web when it's available, though it would never stop me going to a home game, I paid for the web covering Blaze V Panthers preseason so as to watch hockey. Hopefully the Panthers will have a change of heart soon, as it surely isn't doing any harm to other teams.

It's all become clear now, the reason we haven't done a stream this season is that all the budget went into the new intro video! ;-)
