It is with great sadness that I have to confirm reports that one of our members and longtime fans in Block 14, frequent poster (I think most of them are in the word game thread) and most beloved mum and grandma, Olaw d'Elpus (Sandi) passed away peacefully at home last week. Arrangements TBA. Jim (son). (I know, my first post and I wish it didn't have to be like this). I'm in bits here. If anyone feels the need for a suggestion for a tribute song, might I suggest Bruce Springsteen, "4th July Asbury Park (Sandy)". #sparkletwin

Very sorry to hear this. Condolences to yourself Jim, and to all of Sandi's family and friends.

I never met or spoke to Sandi. The only contact I had with her was through the forum word game. I can say that no matter what time I posted my word, Sandi would invariably be the next one to post, most often within a very short time. I often wondered who she was, what she was like. Reading the comments above it is clear she will be sadly missed, and I my thoughts and condolences go out to her family.
