Heard at the POFW that weber (Cov coach) was coming to nottingham and bringing Stweart with him seems the 50% thats wrong is Stewart seeing as he has re-signed for Blaze

Paul Thompson back to the elite league as Panthers coach next season Surely if he was back he'd be back to Coventry seeing he owns part of the club. Would there not be a conflict of interest if he was our coach.

Hopefully Francis didn't enjoy his time over there and fancies a return to Nottingham.

Apparently Kwalls wife has posted on facebook that they are heading back home.... Now is this a permanent thing or is the family doing what they do every summer and go home for the off season?
Kwall was also selling his pads on twitter... not long after stating he wanted one more season with us?

Pretty sure kwall and family usually head off home during the off season - not noticed him selling his kit before though.

Ive seen the post, Killer wont be back. Gutted.
Had a horrible feeling that him stating he wanted to come back was him making it clear that this is the clubs decision and it looks like my fear has come true.
Best netminder i've seen by an absolute distance, thanks for everything Killer.

Really is the end of an era. Corey likely to have gone, Kowalski looking like he has also gone and Benedict retiring. All 3 were key parts in our success in recent years and not one should be overlooked and allowed to leave/retire without a fitting tribute and farewell. It's the least they deserve.

Wild also retiring.

Matt Nickerson has two Elite league teams after him, rumoured to be heading to Belfast or Sheffield.

And is it me but is it not bizarre that neither us or Coventry have announced anything on the coaching front yet.

"@jcb2705: Just had an interesting conversation, could be all change come September #differentscenerymeetnewpeople / " She has since deleted this tweet... OOOOHHHH! But I'm trying to think of reasons he'd move clubs over here? Money would be the only reason for me and Cardiff are are hardly tight for cash. Could be moving abroad?

Well he would hardly be meeting new people if he did move back to Sheffield, plus I would be surprised if Sheffield could afford his wages, they had to get a sponsor to help them secure O'Connor and they will also be able to sign another dual national next year.

Why wouldn't they be able to afford his wages? he will be a starting netminder and he isn't going to command any more than an import would, infact without having to pay for flights etc he may well work out cheaper. The O'Connor situation was a little different as he was an additional cost to the club as he wasn't part of the starting roster and they didn't release anyone to make room for him.

I'm sure a good British netminder could easily command a higher salary than some of the imports netminders. Kelman said that his Brits at Belfast were the highest earners the other year.

Good Brits cost way more than imports, all down to supply and demand. They may well afford him but may have to spend less on other players, buying in cheaper imported players to balance the books.

I very much doubt that Ben Bowns is going to cost 'way' more than a top class import NM like Kwall, Doyle etc and lets face it having a brit NM hasnt affected what class of import Belfast can bring in has it? and I don't think that will be the case for Sheffield or any one else for that matter or they just wouldn't bother with a brit.
