Looking at the roster so far I reckon we have 2nd line right shot D (Steve Lee) and 3rd line right shot D (Brian Schmidt). So we would need 1 more right shot for 1st line. I would take Chris Murray back if he is available. Quite mean and tough, V good on powerplay and decent defensively. Thoughts? I really liked Murray. However I'd be nervous he'd want out again if a better offer came up halfway through a season and the thought will always stay there. I want a player for the season. That's my only downside

Would love Murray, Lepine and Wild to finish the D. IMO that would be a nice balance of size, transition, right and left shots.
Guess all 3 are quite unlikely for various reasons.
LEPINE MURRAY
WILD LEE
SWINDLEHURST SCHMIDT
OAKFORD

no lacho then? says the brit pack is signed Last season it was stated that he was signing but would look to spend a season abroad this season, I assume we are supporting him to find another club and if it does not work out then he will remain with us, or if it does not work out then he will return home.... If this is the case I am happy for him, but would pretty gutted if he signed for a rival club...

Perhaps the thinking is that the money could be freed up for an import and it's time for him to try his hand abroad.

no lacho then? says the brit pack is signed Whilst Lacho has been good in previous seasons I was not impressed with him last year, maybe he heart was not in it, and if so maybe a year or two away may do him some good - would like him to sing again but as long as he does not go to another EIHL team then not too bothered - we need a TEAMwho will ALLgive 100% every game - win or lose.

He had no support last year, was often taking the puck down the ice on his own and there was nobody around to pass to, last season was an utter shambles and I don't think he can be judged on that season alone.. We were also pushed around a bit as we had no enforcer on this ice.

Lacho had the opportunity to Look for a roster spot abroad at end of season 13/14 as part of that deal before he decided to return to panthers..... It would not surprise me if we have already signed him dependent upon him getting a shot abroad as we did with Farmer....

Is there any point in just typing the names of random players you would perhaps like to see play here......?

Is there any point in just typing the names of random players you would perhaps like to see play here......? Or in replying to it? The thread says Who Should The Panthers Sign? So by saying " or in replying to it" you are implying that there was indeed no point in your post. I'm glad you ultimately agree with me..... I am also well aware of the title of the thread.... Most people posting have suggested players who played in this country last season, or if suggesting players new to the country they have suggested a reason why Panthers should sign them. Your post of just a players name (who would Be new to the country in this case) smacks of "I know someone you don't" but to be honest no one cares that you do. Enjoy your day......

Where have I claimed to have any sort of knowledge about it that others don't have? The thread says who should Panthers sign. I merely suggested a player who I feel would do a good job for us and the type of player we should be looking to recruit.

Q. Who should the Panthers sign?
A. Derek Couture*
Where's the problem?
*Btw I don't know who he is or if we will sign him.
A debate as to whether we should or if we will sign him would be of more use than pointing fingers at a poster for contributing to the point of the thread or accusing them of attempting to be ITK.

Do we think thats it from last seasons players, no more returnee's, 20 players did not return from 13/14.
I hold my breath and wait with trepidation on the first import forward signing will be !!!!!!!!!

Heard from a couple of people Westgarth is close to signing. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Bracken Kearns has good a cracking CV. He played his 1st season away from NA last year in Liiga.
He's getting on a bit but I reckon he would still do a great job in the EIHL. I hope we are aiming to bring in at least of couple of forwards of that level.
