Real character win and great PS performance from Dan Green.
However, looks like like yet another potentially long term injury to a key player as a result of a cheap shot.
If CN is in charge next season, he needs to rethink his theory on not needing a tough guy/enforcer as it's cost us dear this season.

Not seen the incident, but if someone has run and injured a netminder. 4 officials missed it, it's not a new inforcer we need.
Robbo was right.

You can easily lose an edge on purpose Fs......especially when the opposing goalie is having a stellar game !

If you are going to get a guy to stand up to the likes of Westgarth next season you better start teaching Mike Tyson how to skate.

Still should be a penalty How can you possibly say that when you've not even seen the incident?!

Thought Wesgarth slipped and collided awkardly with Kowalski, not one panthers player appealed to ref or held Wesgarth to account.
Did they know it was an accident rather than intentional? Never like to see players injured so hopefully he can get back quickly.

I saw it, honestly looked like an accident, Westgarth lost control and unfortunately KWall was in the wrong place & hit the ice hard

I have just watched it a couple of times, to me yes Westgarth blows a tyre but only when he is right on top of Kwall. I don't see how even if he stayed on his feet he could have avoided contact.
To me it was a dirty play made worse by the fact he lost an edge and should be punished.
He won't be though.

This is intentional (Lucic on Miller):
What Westgarth did was accidental, only had eyes for the puck. This kind of incident has been on the cards for years with the way Kowalski perpetually comes out of his net, it's just unfortunate that it has lead to a potential career ending injury. No need for any retaliation on Westgarth either, I imagine all the players saw it as an accident so no need to take a dumb penalty reacting.
Just imagine if Henley was playing and takes a 5+game for roughing after going after Westgarth, who's the villain on here then? Not the guy in teal that's for sure.
