Where has that team been? Excellent performance from everyone. As for Braehead, very poor, the Gardiner Conference has given them a false position.

When the team deserves praise I will give it and tonight boy do they deserve it. This team have been woeful all season and was not expecting a win tonight. Fantastic performance all round. Lawrence was awesome, as was Doucet and Kowalski. Think Boxill had a great game as usual and Mosey was has some serious wheels on him.
Also to note there was hardly any penalties and let the game flow. Why can't it be like that every week.

Looking at the fixtures, we can certainly send messages to future Play Off opponents.
Braehead - Message sent (If we meet at Play Off Weekend, they will not want to play us) Belfast - Next weeks away games are extremely important, wasn't fancying our chances against them however if we get 2 great results, it'll be their fans worrying. Sheffield - Let's show that the Challenge Cup 2nd Leg was an abnormal result. Cardiff - Show them that we are not the pushovers they think we are.
That's if we actually play Belfast in the Quarter Finals (Not Sure if we can finish 2nd or 3rd) also I've got this feeling that Braehead might not even make to Play Off Weekend especially if they have a dodgy away game in the quarters.

We could still win the conference and get 2nd seed for the playoffs. Considering Sheffield and Cardiff have to play each other 3 times yet, can't see either doing a clean sweep of the other so I think 3/4 wins over the next 4 games will secure the conference. Cardiff away end of the season will be tough though.

Outstanding performance from every player tonight, I counted one mistake all night, and that was jacinas loose pass what led to the eventual penalty shot. The effort was there tonight in spades I can only think the players were told to relax and enjoy the game. The clan were abysmal from start to finish, made our effort against sheff in the CC look impressive

No goals in 2 games against the Erhardt conference, shows just how poor that conference is. Those teams are as bad now as they were before the conferences came in.
If Clan eventually win the league it's a complete sham.
Discoray will be on soon no doubt.

Can't fault one of the guys tonight, great team performance with 13 skaters. Where has this team been the last 12 games? What could of been!

Absolute nonsense. Clan are a far better team this season. Sure two bad games on the road this week and we've been poor against the Erdhart teams on the road all season. But I don't remember Nottingham winning up in our barn too many times this year. Let's not forget who wanted the conferences and have the big games to themselves. We can only beat the teams put in front of us.

Stop trying to get a rise out of Ray, if he wants to involve himself in this he will.
If they win the league it'll be because they've done what they needed to in the system they've been given. It's not a sham. Go and ask Neil and Tony about it, see if they'll scrap it, they won't because they like playing each other loads of times. No one went on about this as much as we are doing this year during the first two seasons of this system, for obvious reasons. If Erhardt doesn't win the league, it's because none of us have been good enough.
Anyway, on tonight's game great performance from us, Lawrence's best showing by far for us IMO, deserved MotM.

Very good performance from us met a poor performance from them.
Even had we lost tonight, it wouldn't have been so bad because they showed desire and commitment. That's the minimum fans ask for.
Doucet robbed for MotM. Maybe Lawrence got it 'cause everyone was like "who the hell is this guy?".

You can only beat the teams in front of you, true. Still a sham, even if you don't win it. Think you'll find the Edinburgh's/Fife's of this world were massively in favour of the conferences, not just the "big" teams wanting it at all.

I think Braehead shouting 'we want one' summed that game up

Excellent performance last night, not one Panthers player had a bad game. It was hugely enjoyable to see the team working hard, keeping it tight, making good plays and taking their chances. Also frustrating as we've always known the capability to play this way was there, but you can only be delighted and satisfied after that kind of victory, exactly what was needed at the stage we're at. Several candidates for MOM in my eyes. Lawrence had his best game for us by miles and looked like a leader on the ice, which is not how he has mainly played even when he's done good things - please play like that for the remaining few games Chris. Doucet was also excellent, I like his all-action style and the fact he's always looking to make something happen offensively. K-Wall made some really good saves too, as despite the final scoreline and our overall dominance there were a couple of spells in the late 1st and early 2nd periods where Clan could have got back into it and he prevented them doing so. A word for Landry too, who I think has been (in a relatively unfussy way that often goes unnoticed) a real standout for us on defence this season.
My last regular season game as I can't make the Sheffield match, nice to finish a mainly disappointing and frustrating campaign on a very high note. Hopefully this will genuinely give us a boost going into the last couple of league fixtures and of course the playoffs.

I think another positive last night was our discipline. Recently we've had spells in the penalty box and it's cost us. We took 1 penalty all night last night.
Oh and we FINALLY have a player in the top 10 point scorers in the league! Chris Lawrence is up in 9th!

From what I hear, there are certain injured players who are thought to be taking the wee wee ! Mmmm we heard that tonight aswell and it's not an import. Insurance would be paying their wages wouldn't they? Due to the amount of time out.

If a player is cleared by the medical team to play then that player wouldn't have a choice as it's his job, it's what he's paid to do. If he refused he would be suspended or released so I can't see this being true plus you never hear these rumours when things are going well for the team.

Didn't we have that with Champagne a few years ago ... he said he wasn't fit to play, we released him, then following week he was playing for his new club?
