and also, hearing Chris Frank to re-sign in Braehead or head back to Cardiff , from devils forum He's in Cardiff as his partner Gemma lives here, and they're soon to be getting married. can't comment about the piece on him staying in Braehead, as I don't have a clue about that, but i very much doubt he'll be back in Cardiff playing hockey next year.

What a fantastic signing he will be! Too damn good for this league and the blaze. Not sure I buy the too good for this league angle...high draft pick sure but... 0.70 PPG for Val Pusteria last season barely scrapes O'Maara into the Italian league's top 50 scorers on overall point production (and seventh on his own team) or 60th on PPG in the league. David Ling joined the team late in the season and averaged 1.14 PPG for Val Pusteria in the regular season and this jumped to 1.38 in the post season. O'Maara's post season....dropped to 0.58 For further comparison: one season earlier: Panther's Joe Jensen averaged 1.35 PPG for the same team putting him 8th in the league (first on his own team) - even his teammate ('unsucessful' Panther) Tuukka Makela averaged 0.50 PPG as a defenseman and recently re-signed Panther Greg Jacina (icing for Ritton) averaged 1.05PPG in the Italian League. And that's just recent players with a Panther's connection. and both season's Val Pusteria had a similar result in the league and O'Maara's 'team' having a better post-season. So if he's too good for the league then...what does this make the others. But, as always, JMHO Regards B&G73

You can only tell so much from stats. They're a part, but nowhere near the whole, of the tale.
Give a new player a month or so, then you have an idea. Or in Ling's (and Bruce's) case, call for him to be gassed by October, then end up worshipping him.

Wonder how much Corey will offer him? no doubt £5000 a week and he'll have a change of heart and stay in Steelerland to be with the "family"

What the Panthers do very well is keep signings under their hats. Not a whisper about our two from today anywhere.

Drew and Rico Fata to nottingham? Drew tweeted said he was disappointed that steelers didn't want him back but is looking forward to joining up with his bro down the road #Roarrrrr now is that a panther roar? Or a dragon roar? Who knows?! Although Steve Goertzen did say best of luck to him and he hopes not to be hit by one of his slap shots. That to me says nottingham, that's just how I'm reading it

I flipping hope not, why would we want him? He's playing the wind up game just like Foxy, cast the line and reel us all in. I couldn't imagine the Panthers management letting him say that tbh if he was coming.

Take the Steelers factor out of it: if Drew and Rico were to come to Nottingham, then it'd be an excellent piece of business. Fox and Fata may have had issues on ice but that's all it is. Seen plenty of players fight each other one season and be team mates the next.

The Fata brothers would be an excellent addition for us. Ex NHL players, Drew has played in the EIHL and Rico has played top euro hockey. Wind up or not, of they wanted to come here, we'd be daft not to talk to them

Just seen the Bracknell tweet that he has signed in the elite league and instantly thought of him coming to us.
