i am going to go for a Panthers win this season, only because i support them, but we do have a ver strong team, and judging on how we have done in the last 3 games and how we did in france, i think we have the best chance.
what do you lot think?

Was this poll set up by Jeb Bush? Where's the option to vote for the Cairns/Nichol dream ticket?

My heart says Panthers, but my head says Devils.
Sorry folks, but unless we sort the D out (after McKenna has left) Curtis will have to stand on more than just his head for us to win the league.
Believe it or not, even he is only human.

This is quite a silly poll really cause obviously the majority are going to go for the panthers with it being on a panthers forum

Before the first match of the season, and simply taking Coaches and rosters into account, along with my amazing lack of knowledge re this great sport I now follow, I thought the League would be split as follows:
1 - 3 (in no particular order) - Devils / Blaze / Giants 3 - 6 (in no particular order) - Panthers / Steelers / Racers 7 - Bison
Thus far into the season, I now think that Devils will win the League, BUT I also think that Panthers are more than capable of joining the 1 - 3 group (therefore making it a 1 - 4) and, not only that, in spite of my inbred pessimistic nature, they could, just could, win it !!! Much will depend on consistency (which Panthers have always lacked in the 4 years I've been watching), and the length of time they can hang onto Mr. McKenna.

Why do you all think we will loose McKenna, if Roman becomes fit again then i would rather keep them both and get rid of another import.

Sorry but it's a good problem to have. And it's not that I think Kimmy is having a bad year it's just my choice, after all to keep Big Mac we would have to let somebody go, somebody that a lot of fans will like.

This year seems very close again, i think it will be between Cardiff, Nottingham and Belfast. But can also see Coventry and Steelers pushing it close. I can't see London or Basingstoke coming too close, although with London maybe getting another NHL player they may put a bit of pressure onto us (aslong as they can keep hold of them).
Im going to go for Panthers though, thinking with my head and heart.
AS for Mckenna, we need to try as hard as we can to keep hold off him, he oozes class and seems to have had a huge effect on the team. AS for who to swap him for...i'm not too sure, maybe Kimmy as ihe hasn't been upto his usual standards this season. I don't think we should swap for a D man, although i don't massivly rate both Krulis or Madasko, there not THAT bad, and incase of injuries in defence we need all the defence we can get.

It's just that I don't think we dare release a D-Man. If the show re-opens after our last signing date and Big Mac decides that's where he needs to be, then we'd be in trouble at the back, whereas when everyone is fit Big Mac is our 10th forward with Richard Wojciak being the 11th.. That means to keep the Big man we would need to release either JC, Kimmy, Caddy, Ivan, KK or Tvrdon. Tough choice

Although Kalmikov is my fav player & I openly admit that, I don't see how you can cut him, as he's starting to flourish after a relatively slow start

As I've said, at this moment I'd go with Kimmy but it's a tough choice PA and GM have to make, if indeed they do?

Kimmy's overall points contribution isn't too bad, something like 12 points in 14 games, but he's only got 4 goals and hasn't scored for 6 games which is most unlike him. None of the players listed have bad overall contributions, only in the goal scoring department...

Not too much pressure on Wade Belak, but I think Ashley Tait will be shaking hands with the guy who gives out the winners medals

Good to see the Blaze getting in on the voting act Could be a close race between many teams, I'm just hoping that CC may just push us over the edge.

I'm reserving judgement as no team has managed a regular 1.5 points per game return this season.
An average game return of 1.5 points will win the title so I'll see how the points pan out in the next few weeks.
