Hockeystreams is a much, much inferior product to gcl. We started with Hockeystreams last season, but got gcl - the difference in quality was fantastic.

I've had both too, i don't know what GCL does that HS doesn't. Streams are as good quality (almost all in HD this year on HS) and considerably cheaper. Also, there's no limit to individual log-ins at once on HS, meaning me, my brother and two of my mates can use it for the cost of one membership

Hockeystreams would freeze on us constantly, to the point games where unwatchable, which is why we brought gcl, where as gcl would play fine on the same connection. A few times Hockeystreams posted games that would end half way through and sometimes there streams wouldn't even be there. And hand on heart, the picture quality on gcl is better. Honestly the money we spent on Hockeystreams was a complete waste in my eyes. Oh and in gcl when my gf watches the bruins we don't have to listen to that muppet of a presenter either, which is worth it's weight in gold

Nothing beats GCL for a start it's in HD and a legal product unlike HS , it's by the NHL network . Gonna get fibre optic soon so it will stream well

Quite frankly, the fact that none of the HS money goes to the NHL is a benefit right now. I'm a little loathed to give them anything.
You pay double for the same thing if you like.

I pay double for a service that works for me, rather than half for a service that does not, thank you very much.

Loved GCL last year, made me transition from casual NHL supporter to a Rangers fanatic! Every single game in crystal clear HD. I used PS3. Would love to see NHL on the fly added to perfect the package.

Yeah through the US psn store. You create an account and say your in the US. You need a US postcode so I used a friends but a lot if people just google a random US address. Normally a hotel or warehouse. You then find the app and download it. That's it then, you can access it from your UK account as normal. No charge other than the subscription.

I believe that Centre Ice is the TV version, GCL is the online.

Centre ice only available in the US. GCL is $50 for the season. Pay all at once or split it in two.

Got to say that $49.99 (£31.00) for the whole shortened season is a bit of a billy bargain from the NHL and a nice move on their behalf. Option to pay in 2 installments as well. Signed up again,. Best coverage by far. Bring it on. gamecenter.nhl.com/nhlgc/secure/gclsignup

Although Xbox is now showing as a supported device on the gamecentre home page,.. It doesnt look like the app is available to download yet. Any Xbox users know if it is imminent ?

If its like the NBA equivilent , that was launched a couple of days before the season started so perhaps it might be ready for download around friday time. The NHL has only just announced how much it is

This sucks but the NHL will blackout games shown live on premier sports. The key here is 'live' which means that for the most part this will mean little disruption. The time it will sting is the Stanley Cup Finals as they could, at guess, be live for the entire finals round.
This is a bit gutting as I cant get premier sports as a virgin customer. If I could I would probably subscribe to both as they show a lot of KHL but hey ho.

They'll still have the games in the archive though, right?
