Anyone fancy running a book on how long it'll be before it's closed?

Apparantly all Elite league teams will havea forum which is linked to the Elite League site so that when people use the forums its counts as a hit to the main Elite league site.
This is meant to show sponsers how much interest their is in British hockey and the Devils already have their new forum linked to it

i dont think there just stopping at forum. there linking everything. abit like the nhl sites do. i think panthers site had the first elitle leage banner at the top with links to their stats. other teams are now starting to get the banner also
but hopefully things like this will be great for british ice hockey fan bases

It would be awesome i think if the moderating team from here was put in place on the nottingham forum of that Elite league network so in essence the Cage Forum gets a free makeover?

Come back Jo Guest all is forgiven. Blimey - I'd forgotten all about that long-running saga.... In that case - definitely, bring back the Panthers' Lair! ;D

Nice to see an official forum, but I will stick with this one.
Plus I would go mad looking at those annoying smilies!

I thought that once about my old forum. Never say never Yeah but you shut yours down, but I understand what you're getting at though. I think this site has had a good innings regardless, and it's always good to see the powers at be being... ...at, which probably wont be allowed on any official site

That really all depends on you guys at the end of the day. Some people will naturally re-locate to other forums, as I did going from the Lair to the Cage. But I'd like to think we do a good job running this site...Well, try too ;D

But I'd like to think we do a good job running this site...Well, try too ;D The Cage nearly folded when Mitya had had enough ... The only reason I took it on at that time was my belief that it's important for the fanbase to have a voice. Should the EIHL site take off and be well run ... and I hope it does ... well then I shall seriously have to think about the future of the Cage. It's caused some heartache and sleepless nights in the past ... I don't mind admitting I could do without the stress. I'll watch the new forums with interest. I won't see our 'clientele' wanting ... but then I won't see this site turn in to a drop in centre to slag off the powers that be, should the moderators of the new site be stricter on criticism ...

according to them you might be able to become one of the moderators on the new site if you want and they come asking.

The lair was a little different to this place, we all knew each other, knew everybody on all the other forums up and down and the country and all got drunk together. I have the t shirts to prove it too

Ive had a look at the new one, but to be honest if I put one of my 'I love David Simms' posts on that forum do you think it would stay on there?Nah the Brummies toys would be flying out of the pram big time, , and Mr French, or whoever would lock the thread or delete it. The Cageforum is my forum home, and there is no place like home. ;D ;D Keep in there BJ HL
