What's the point of shooting on a powerplay if it goes wrong, bounces off a player and the opposition get it?? That may sound a bit stupid "what's the point of shooting" but it won't always work and could go majorly wrong! The players aren't gonna shoot if they don't think they can score!

so why did Ivan shoot from pretty much the goal line with a slapshot then??

Runnerbean two well known facts of hockey are, shoot the puck at the goal and good things happen, and the best pass in hockey is a rebound, when you have people in position for that then you score lots of goals, unfortunately nobody seems to have told our players.

Now is the time to stop discussing what may of happened and should of happened and GET BEHIND OUR TEAM If we, the supporters add pressure to the already under pressure players, then things will go wrong Lets get the ship back on course, starting this afternoon against Sheffield. Lets fully support them to the last, and get them back winning again

as i understand its the captain and alternates jobs to keep the team together, when nieckar was here it was his job to sort out minor squabbles but it looks like noones replaced him

i am pretty sure McKenna will knock some of our players out of "we are superstar players" "we can do what we like" kind of thing and get them playing hockey like they are meant too.
even if he is only here a short time.

It could go two ways IMHO.
Either Mckenna will bang some head together like Tim says. "Oi Craiger .... you're a nobody" kinda style and get them playing as a tream.
Or, as another big ego player, it could make it worse. We all know how Craighead likes to be the centre of attention and another big name player may annoy him even more.

as another big ego player That's unfair and uncalled for, just because he's here from the Show doesn't mean he'll have a big 'ego'. As I understand it he's well known for being a good team player / builder - exactly what we need right now. I also think people are being unfair towards Craighead again as it happens .... all this opinion and conjecture based on rumour ...

same as BJ says from what it sounds like this guy doesn't have a big ego (but i guess he does know he is good) but he doesn't have to go round showing it.
Craighead is also very very important to the panthers propbably more so than most of the other players except cruickshank.

Well, I saw the players train yesterday + they seemed to be in high spirits. Particurlarly Craighead, Ivan, Clarke and McKenna! So in my opinion this is just another crappy rumour.

Critic you have certainly changed your opinion about Big Mac. Before he arrived you were not giving him any chance at all, now he's the best thing since sliced bread. Did you manage to get to London on Friday to see him play? Is that where you managed to form your well informed opinion in the short shifts he had on the ice. Dont forget there is No 'I' in team

i don't think i have said anything about his abilty on the ice
i am just saying (from what i can see) is that he is the person who will bring our players back down to earth.

As soon as I started this thread, it seemed everyone wanted to rubbish it. Well, well. Perhaps I wasn't just rumourmongering after all. ;D You know it's bad when Adey goes public about certain players being disruptive. I'm just off to the game now, and I pray we get the result we desparately need. Trouble is, if we do, will all our problems be swept under the carpet, just waiting to reappear. As a supporter I am entitled to an opinion (as are all of you). In my opinion, Guys. If you've got a problem with someone take them round the back and knock seven bells out of one another. then have a pint and a laugh, AND THEN GET ON WITH WHAT YOU'RE PAID FOR.

I heard before the season even started, that Cadotte was in talks with Adey about signing for us again, but he wouldnt be too happy about coming back if Craighead was to re-sign. This came from a reliable person who is close to Cadotte. Craighead had already signed before Cadotte signed, so he knew he would be here. I'm sure they would have sorted things out.

I'm sure it will all sort, regardless of who is having a hissy fit with whoever. Probably heated discussions and they flew off the handle at eachother....who knows apart from those involved / the insiders.

I heard from a good source that it was just a spat between Krulis and Ivan - apparently that's the way the Czechs players clear the air - they are ok now.

At the London game on Friday Krulis and Ivan were having words with each other as a result of a Bench penalty. At the end of the game they were talking to each other in what seemed a friendly way to me, so as Carolle says its probably the way the east Europeans sort things out. HL

Well i've heard that Calle' and Marek had a bust up in the locker room, Calle has been stripped of his 'C'. Also heard that Craighead is playing with the wrong sticks and there doing his wrist in, hes been told to just get on with it!! But its only what i hear?

Hmmm...
As far as I remember JC is using the same Easton Ultralite sticks that he used last year. As for the other RUMOUR - I'd be surprised. But the only thing to do is to wait until Saturday to find out!
