Well, Stars beat those Mutts first game with Jagr getting a steady 2+2 and Whitney bagging a goal. I was staying up for GCL to watch the second game tonight and it's a bloody blackout game because it's on Premier Sports!

I thought Ray could've fluffed that one for old times sake... I, for one, am glad it didnt! Vrbata was dangerous all game. As the Dallas commentators said, outside our division no one will rate him but I certainly do!

Disappointing with the 6-0 loss over St Louis on Saturday night, and the same not winning in regulation, but a win is a win!

1-1 so far for the Leafs after last nights loss to Buffalo; Kadri has two goals so far and hopefully this be the season he shows he's an NHLer. Really impressed with Kostka so far too but don't think Scrivens or Reimer are the go to guys between the pipes although I don't want Luongo.

Stars beat the Red Wings 2-1. Proper battle of the netminders and gutted for Kari to concede with 3 seconds left. Red Wings PP is so poor - 0 for 15 I think it is now. Franzen needs to have his butt handed to him after the blindside hit on Roy off the puck.
Solid 2 points and in the rink that last season was the toughest to win in.

Good showing from TOR this evening, PP was a major problem and nice to see Crosby in the penalty box when his team were down two goals. Kulemin was very good tonight and Reimer was ok too; Lupul out for 6 weeks with a broken forearm meaning Frattin will get called up.
JVR with two tonight also; thanks PHI!

Seems like this trade is going to work out well. Luke Schenn has started pretty damn well with us too.

He needed a change of scenery IMO and I was sorry to see him go, but I always liked JVR so yeah, good trade for both teams.

Nice to see too, i always liked JVR. During our play-off run in 2011 he was flat-out dominant at times, some of the best hockey i've ever seen from a Flyer. Sadly he's a little too inconsistent.

Dogs manage to lose 5-3 to SJ from 3-1 up, 13 to play... I kinda miss the lockout...

would the real Edmonton Oilers please stand up.
4 games played 2 games were solid and they deserved 4 points from them, the other 2 can't have any complaints about losing.
J. Schultz with 2 goals, 4 assists for 6 points in 4 games is a nice surprise, wasn't sure his scoring would transition to the NHL so easily.

So the Leafs didn't ruin Luke Schenn after all...
(Not aimed at you Daniel I might add)

Nathan MacKinnon here we come #Leafs I was at the Garden Saturday night . Was a weird game it was a bit scrappy . The leafs found themselves 2 up on 2 shots to rangers 14 at one point, the pp teams were pretty poor too . Once rangers got their first goal it seemed to galvanise them and once they tied the game their was only one winner . My first time at MSG great atmosphere . Gabby had a Great game and I thought del Zotto played well too

Matt Frattin, thank you! Scores in OT in BUF with only 2 seconds left on the clock. 5 points on the season since being recalled due to Lupul's injury.
Reimer looking strong too at this point.

Good win for the Wings and Tootoo continues to do what he does best. Brunner seems to be coming along nicely too, given the difference in physicality he is experiencing now compared to the NLA.
So glad Abdelkader isn't our go to 'hard man' anymore, whilst his mind may have been willing it was often embarrassing.
