Has anyone hired one of the executive boxes at the NIC before? I notice that many are unused for Panthers games and was wondering if they can be hired for individual games. Any feedback would be welcome, costs etc..

My mum won one by supporters club one year, its very nice up there but your away from the crowd and ya need quite alot of people in your box to make it more entertaining.

we are lucky enough to use a box for every home game, the standard ticket price is £13 for adults and £10 for under fourteens. however they are asking us for £20 per person for the steelers game on sunday, considering we payed them £3000 to hire the box at the begining of the season(includeing concerts)this still means it will cost us £400 for 20 of us to watch the game.not fair i know but hey its a panthers steelers game. p.s the atmosphere is great up there and the view is even better

i would still rather be in the stand than in a box
but at least with the boxes at the NIC you still get the atmosphere unlike at say somewhere like forest where they are totally closed to the outside.

Thanks for all your feedback so far. We have 4 relatives over at Christmas from USA, and as 3 of us have season tickets in an area that has no spare seats together, we were looking to get a box for the Boxing Day Steelers game so we can all sit together. It looks like we will have to revise our plans based on Waltz's experience.

I can give you a bit more detail re costs, given that I hired a box for the now postponed Edinburgh game (so have obviously had to cancel it !).
Waltz's prices are based on the fact that he's hired a box for the season, or year whatever.
If you want to hire a box for 1 game (like I did....well, almost !), it costs £25 per person. This includes match ticket and waitress service. It doesn't matter how many people there are, although there are minimums and maximums (so it does matter a bit !). I was taking 12 people so the cost was going to be 12 * £25 = £300.
For £40 per person, a buffet is also included. I didn't get as far as asking what the buffet contained.
Hope this helps.

I have been in the boxes a few times, courtesy of some of our suppliers 8) I am not sure if they're available for single games or not though. I thought companies bought them for corporate hospitality for a season. The buffet includes sandwiches, chicken drumsticks, tortillas, quiche, and various canapes. It's not bad value

They are available for single games, some friends of mine have rented for the odd match at the NIC, in fact they have one for this sunday.
