Everyone except me is probably aware already but apparently London have a webcast for home matches so if I understand correctly those who're not travelling SHOULD be able to listen here www.londonracers.co.uk/media/radio/calendarWeekly.phpI know the webcast made the Hull game very enjoyable. I think they only have game preview on 7 till 8?

Iguess this was a breakaway as there is no defenceman in sight, if so who coughed up the puck? guess it was one of the defencman to result in a breakaway.

We played well, with good possession in the first period, worked hard for a two goal lead and then totally blew it in the space of a minute. The first was a breakaway from an intercepted pass, I think by Kimmy and the second was another breakaway from a mis-timed line change by us.
Magdosko tripped on the way back out for the 2nd and looked like he'd maybe agravated the groin injury he had, que McKenna playing in defense alongside Ricci. Sloppy play from one of our other two defense to let them in for a third goal.
We pulled back a goal (early in the third I think, one day I'll take notes) and looked to be lifting our game after a poor second period when they put in number 4 and pretty much killed it off. A silly penalty for too many men finally finished it with about 2.30 left on the clock.
No sign at all of the great team performances from France or against Cardiff and I didn't feel we looked tired compared to London. London played a game that suited them and we didn't look up for it at all. We certainly didn't play well together as a team.
Of our players Calle or Criaghead would have been my MoM. Caddy also much much better than at the beginning of the season. McKenna had a decent first game.
Overall though and as a fairly recent supporter, probably the worst game of hockey I've seen us play.

To be specific on McKenna for Tim, he looked a good skater and a big strong player. He also looked like someone who'd missed a lot of games through injury and needs some more games under his belt to get match fit and sharpen up.
He really is huge and I expect will intimidate a lot of opponents.

It's a long way to go to see your team play like that Totally agree BJ, but I don't want to go anywhere to see my team play like that. These guys are professional athletes, no excuses for tiredness now, they should be working and gelling as a team, but on too many occasions they're not. I hear on the news that Adey is taking action one step further by talking with Neil Black, presumably about the lack of effort by certain players. October 31st couldn't be a better date for a Steelers game - let's banish the ghosts of failure and come out fighting.

Come on then BJ, identify yourself - I'm the very tall miserable looking sod at the very left hand side!
And yes, we were very poor, and yes, it is a VERY long way to go to watch the team play like that!

I actually enjoyed the game.
I dont think enough credit is given by Panthers fans when the other team plays well (wich only in my opinion London did last night)
London scored two breakaway goals, but hey, you have to score them, how many times has the Panthers missed a one on one?
I'm afraid I have a bit of a sad outlook on games. If I enjoy the match, then the money, travel, and time is well spent, and if the Panthers win, well thats the icing on the cake.
if the Panthers get beat, so, they get beat. Draw a line under the game and move onto the next one.
Does that make me passionate about the Panthers - dunno. But I was one of the 100 or supporters of the Panthers down at Lee Valley last night so I guess I must have an alegiance.
Hockey is a large part of my leisure time. If I got down when we play badly or lose, then thats just wasting leisure time.
When I was at Coventry last weekend talking to Scuff, Loose Chipppings, BDS, and the rest of the Steelers guys sure they wanted the Steelers to win, but when they didnt it wasnt recriminations, it was a shrug of the shoulders and lets look forward to next game.
As is said

Whilst I generally agree with what you're saying HL, including that we lost to the better side on the night, the frustration of playing badly is more easily overlooked if we win.
I hope we can step our game up again tomorrow night.

That because they relise now that they don't have a very good team, well not a championship one and are not expecting anything out of this season (since they are changing owners and Coaches etc.
I will never be happy if panthers lose a game, how can you be, yes i might enjoy the game most of the time but i won't be happy, (unless they lose the game in OT or on a dodgy call)
