Hi everyone, hope the powers that be are ok with me posting this Further from discussion on the NFL thread about American Football, this is an open invite to anyone free on the 25th of February to head down to Loughborough to watch the Aces (one of the most successful teams in UK university history) take on Nottingham Trent in the final game of the regular season. The game is being held at "The Cage" (convenient?) on Loughborough College campus, and kicks off at 1pm. Oh, and it's TOTALLY FREE! Parking will be limited on campus but there are regular shuttle services to and from the town centre/train station. If anyone wants to drive, PM me for directions and i'll try and find an accurate set, but basically it's just across the road from the Epinal Way entrance (by the pool) to the University campus. Like I said, it's a free, fun afternoon out and a good chance to learn more about a sport that's often misunderstood here. The more the merrier, though as an Aces sideline fixture for most of 2009-10 i can't condone cheering for Trent

Well for anyone wondering, if you didn't go you missed a cracking game (unless you're a trent fan/alumni/student, in which case it wasn't the best!). Fantastic example of good sportsmanship and a high level of commitment from both teams.
Loughborough won 34-7. It wasn't enough to totally guarantee them their playoff space - that was down to Nottingham University vs Northampton today. Thankfully the result went in Loughborough's favour and the Aces continue towards the National Championship.
