I'm pretty sure my mate is wrong when he told me this but apparently when him and his mate were talking to Gm when they saw him in town Mopes may have to wear a brace on his knee permenantly now after this knock! Punctuation?

Anyone know any reason why Woolhouse came on with 26 seconds to go? Seemed a bit strange, if he was gonna bring him on i'd have thought give him at least a few mins not 26 seconds. I think it was probably something to do with his skate. Panthers played very well tonight, i thought clarkey should have got MoM. Ricci and calle looked very strong as usual. Magdosko played quite well considering he is still carrying a bit of an injury. Bring on the giants!

Apart from his goal I thought Clarke was pretty quiet tonight and looked tired. I'd have given MOM to Myers, Cale or Ricci

Punctuation? Right I'll try again, Apparently my friend and his workmate were talking to GM in town in the week, and GM said that Mopes is going to have to wear a brace on his knee permanently now. Like I said I don't think this is true at all and reckon my mate must have to the wrong end of the stick bt even so i thought I'd share it.

Sorry, I just thought you were doing an impression of Tim ;D Sorry Tim Nah, just tired last night, and indeed still tired now but yet again I've been woken up on one of the few chances I ever get to have a lie in and now I can't get back to sleep.

Are you on about when people are shouting hand pass, you know where the player pushed the puck all the way down the ice??
Because that isn't an offence it is perfectly legal, it only becomes a hand pass if it goes to another player on his team directly. (eg not deflecting off an oppoent)

Was watching the two goals that did'nt count from block13 good view but hate to say both of them wern't and a goal,
Ivan possibly did'nt know where the puck was untill it came infront of his glove he just poked it in.
The other one was a good recovery save from Cugnet.
So as much as i wanted them to count that should'nt but they was only the only decent two descions by the ref!

As I also sit on the goal line three seats up I witnessed , Ivan patted the puck down (not closed hand )and he did connect with his stick to push it over the line , I say the goal judge must have been Stevie Wonder last night not to have seen it , but its a job I would not take ... ;D

Fantastic result for Panthers. If we can get results against Belfast and Sheffield we will be in a great position.
We need a result on Tuesday to ensure that we qualify for the CC.
WE MUST QUALIFY FOR THE CC AND GET A SEMI FINAL AGAINST SHEFFIELD!!

I must say I didnt see it. HOWEVER I was speaking to someone after the game who sits behind the goal, had a clear view and swears he gloved it down then played it.

I certainly didn't see him do that, he just waived the goal off and ignored all protests. Just a bad call by Boniface, the goal judge had nothing to do with it. And it was definitely a goal I got a very clear view of it in block 11, unlike Boniface who had a couple of players in between him and the incident.

Does it really matter?
For what it's worth I was sat in block 10 and I didn't think it was a goal.

Anyone getting jazzed off with these rolling signature things? hhmm...it does send ya eyes a bit bit funny when you reading the post below... It was a good game last night. I think the France weekend did the players good!! They looked great on the ice! Lets hope that they play this well against Belfast and Sheffield next week!!

Good game for you guys, Devils were short Stoney and clearly missed him. Devils only seemed to wake up in the 2nd period for a few minutes then died again! Dunno wha all this talk of Rob is did you guys not see his checks last night he took out Craighead first time I've ever seen that. Matt looked desperate to get a goal against us but thankfully didn't! Lovely speaking to a few of the Panthers fans before we went in, great to be back in Notts though!!!

we said he can check and moan just isn't an amzing defenceman 9well not what you would expect and NHL player to be like
So an amazing checker but certainly not an amzing defenceman.

Tom I was answering to BAZ post of his stick hit the post not the puck (on very good authority i.e. goal judge ) and yes I did notice Boniface ruled the goal on his own accord and did not consult the goal judge . so I was not under any impression that the goal judge was consulted by Boniface , only by Baz's referance to Him consulting the Goal judge after the Game , and this was my reason to say the Stevie wonder referance to the Goal judge ..

Back to the game in general......
I thought that's the best Panthers have played so far this season (although I wasn't in France so can't compare with any performances over there). I thought Cardiff were a decent team.....and we beat them with some ease !
Well impressed with improvements shown by Kalmikov and Magdosko from earlier games. I generally don't get carried away, but it's looking good so far !
Finally, anyone else thought Cadotte (whom I've criticised a little, recently) was worth MoM ? 1 goal (he's got to be the best we have when it comes to 1 on 1) and 2 assists. A good work rate, a few mistakes, granted, but overall he looked pretty good !

Yes, Caddy did have a great game ... it's good to see him getting back to the Caddy we know and love.
I've been led to believe that over the Summer he was unable to train due to injury ... this explains his slow start to the season and a little extra weight. All that looks behind him now though, he's looking as fit as ever, as fast as ever and still able to do that little chip & skip thing he does so well.

His goal last night was classic Caddy, just what we need to see!

To be honest tho it was one of those games where there are lots of people who could have got it. It was a good team performance without any one person having a spectacular game so there are bound to be lots of people worthy of MOM. Myers is one who I thought would get it even before the start being as he is from cardiff but even so he played really well again and could have got it.

So.... Kalmikov is now scoring. Craighead is having more of an impact. Cadotte is back in shape and I think he will be one of our most important players. All we need now is Tvrdon to start scoring when he comes back and we will have the three best lines in the league. Not to mention the best goalie. It's nice to beat the top of the league with apparent 'ease'. ;D I am starting to get excited!

his stick hit the post not the puck (on very good authority i.e. goal judge ) Ivan pushed the puck over the line with his stick. Not surprising his stick hit the post as well in view of his positioning.
