Fantastic performance from the boys tonight. always looked comfortable and it was never in doubt once we got the first imo.
As for Davison, it wasn't until the 3rd period that I remembered that he was suppsoed to be an NHL player, It certainly didn't show it. Yes he looked comforable on the puck but once we started to close him down and pressure him he didn't seem special at all.
Nice decent sized crowd and noiser than normal but would still like to hear more. fair play to Stave the PA guy for trying with the Barmy army chant but noone seemed to join in apart from BJ who I could hear from the other side of the arena.

I tried to shout barmy Army every time BJ shouted Paul Adey's but no one else joined in and i started to feel silly after 2 or 3 shouts. The wome who sit near you normally start some chants but they were quiet tonight too. I'll get my mate trained up for steelers, he always shouts really loud but don't shout anything that people could join in to chant with.

Good Performance, not the most fasinating display, far too controlled for panthers (not that i should be complaining). Thought Kalmikov looked very sharp, his slap shots are getting better and better. Clarke, Myers all played well. Good Attendance, id guess around 4,600. Do people think it will sell out next week?
Lets have more off the same next game, it also went towards the challenge cup which is good, we've got a hard group with Cardiff and Belfast.

i would of said slightly more but i guess it was around that, very good crowd though, lets hope they all come back.
I think it will be a sell out next weekend against steelers well maybe a few seats spare in the away blocks but not many

Do people think it will sell out next week? If we get a good performance on tuesday, and steelers get some good points between now and then, then I reckon it could be heading towards a sell out. Although it's our first sunday game for a long time so maybe that will harper it a bit.

should try and get a few of my friend at college interested in Ice hockey, well i think they are interested in it, but just never heard or just don't know when the games are.
not really as its is only like 1hour away for most steelers fans if that and it is an early face off (5pm)

Anyone getting jazzed off with these rolling signature things?

Tell me your joking??He didnt want to be there 3rd period. The idea of dump and chase is to...Dump and chase. He dumped it in,stood still for while, they played it out came forward and he was still stood still. Davison an NHLer?Makes me IHL standard then at least! He was a liability as much as anything else. Not the worst D man but Not as good as Becker,Burgoyne or Romaniuk and thats just on his team! Think Kimmy has still got an injury and KK missed shifts so lets hope theres no more injuries!

i think you will probably find that they were just killing the game off eg getting in there zone and wait for a mistake when they are pushing for the tying goal, which worked perfectly 2 mistakes 2 goals

Glad my prediction (3-2 Devils) was well wrong! ;D I was suprised how little the Devils offered in attack - surely our defence isn't that good is it? Having said that, Ricci is a rock and Calle is playing very well too (we'll draw a veil over the Devils' goal... he might want to forget that). Not sure how Marek got MoM (Ricci for me). Ivan did score 2 goals, one of which was disallowed. I can only assume the referee didn't see Ivan reach back and poke the puck over the line with his stick after gloving the puck down, and said he gloved it into the net.

Looked like he Deffo threw it in with his glove from where I was. Granted I aint got the best of views of that end but he seemed to throw it in to me. I could well be wrong tho.
as for their goal yes, it was as if we just stopped for 10 seconds. played brilliantly the rest of the game but everyone just froze for their goal. Shame too cause CC deserved a shutout.
Anyone know any reason why Woolhouse came on with 26 seconds to go? Seemed a bit strange, if he was gonna bring him on i'd have thought give him at least a few mins not 26 seconds.

just wish that we had two more solid defenceman so that the very good defencman Ricci and Carlsson could play together.
Ricci was just unlucky on there goal (so was cruickshank) it could of gone anywhere
I think myers was the best player on the ice tonight, he was just every where showing lots of passion (like most brits) and batterling for the puck all the time.
i remember one moment where he got the puck passed it to some one they losted it but he won it back then got wrestled to the ground and lost the puck got back up and won it again(somthing like that anyway)
saw moran as well walking up between blocks 15 and 16 , he is hobling quite abit still

I think Ricci and Carlsson where great tonight. They fought for the puck and carried it forward and made it look easy. The team as a whole looks more confident and seems to have gelled loads since i last watched them a few weeks back. Im very happy with the way they played tonight and hope they keep it up, there looking good ;D

Just serves to illustrate that it isn't easy to be a referee! Not everyone around me thought it was a goal (though most did), even though we look more or less along the goal line. Ivan gloved the puck down just in front of the goal line, then as is momentum carried him past the post he reached across with his stick and poked the puck across the line. A neat play, though even Marek might not have seen exactly where the puck was when his stick hit it. The "goal" should have stood, unless the refeeree said he closed his hand on the puck when gloving it. In which case he let a Cardiff forward get away with a more blatent infraction later in the game.

His stick hit the post not the puck (on very good authority i.e. goal judge)
