Yeah but the way I see it, we have one player from one team defending a young guy who is being ridiculed by some moron who knows absolutely nothing about him, and another who is picking fights with paying fans! Hull Stingrays as an organization made a backside of itself yesterday. End of. Won't be travelling there again too soon. Sickening. Worse than going to the tin shed.

For anyone who wasn't there on Saturday, a few snappy snaps from behind the goal in one of the few rinks in the country which still allows fans to take their own photos Snappy snaps

Yes all fans pay to have their say, Some fans rather enjoy winding players up, who are rememebered for throwing dummies out of prams. But for the idiot to go down to the zamboni entrance, got what he deserved. It is unfortunate that certain fans are letting the true hockey supporters down. I was in the block were the hull fan gave myers a funny comment, and as always myers couldn't keep it quiet. This has always been the case and I have quite often got the better of him and it makes my evening, because he is a great player that always lets himself down. It is unfortunate for ward, however the injury did not look that servere, so we are going to joke about it, until the injury news is released. Im sure he will get a few dentist jokes when you guys come back. However it would be nice to see your fans stop and applaud two team, as it takes two teams to make an entertaining game. To those fans that do, you are the true hockey fans and I applaud you.

I guess the type of arena that you play makes a big difference as to how close fans will get involved. In our old barn I remember we used to give a lot of visiting players stick. Opposition players climbing in to the block behind their bench has been known.
At Coventry the closeness means that players can hear more of what is shouted at them, and as such the fans can generally hear the response.
In the bigger arenas - Nottingham and Belfast I doubt that the players hear two thirds of what is shouted at them.
In Sheffield, i guess everything pretty much echo's around the arena.

Sums up how biased that post is!

As spoken about earlier, the type of arena visited can make a difference. The differenec between myself and others baiting Myers, who never lets me down with a reaction, is that I stop in my seat, unlike your reaction to come out of your seat and not being content with getting a reaction from the players of the opposing team. We can all have a banter and we should leave it as a banter, not remove ourself from the seats you were sitting in. If you felt the need to be close you could have moved around the rink, to were the player come off the ice, not the zamboni entrance. Hockey in this country needs promoting not people putting families off. I am passionate about this after previously being a victim of a hockey player who lunged for me and attempted to head butt me, whilst being in my seat. You came forward. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE.

It is unfortunate that certain fans are letting the true hockey supporters down. But who comes into which category... and who judges? The above comment could apply to any and every fanbase - most certainly including the Hull fanbase, some of whom I know and like - but some of whom have perpetrated actions far worse than you're complaining about... and blithely passed it off as being passionate 'true fans'...

As part of a hockey game, I believe it always good to have a good banter with players and fans alike. Yes I admit to baiting the players and having a joke at their expenses, just like your supporter was, as I have said previously the diffrence between them is having a banter and leaving it as fun, not leaving your seat and approaching the player. If the person in question had not left his seat, he surely could have enjoyed the fact that he had wound a player up to such an extent of getting an aggresive reaction which I disagree with. Most hockey players can handle the banter, If in question clouts has done what has been suggested, he is in the wrong but leaving your seat is just as bad, as the fan has also shown agression to the situation.

Sir, please pm me rather than slagging me off in public. "clouts" is a bully with a screw loose. He offered me to come to the zamboni doors because I was calling him cheap shot, which I stand by. He was shocked when I went to talk to him and he repeated several times "f**k you, go ahead hit me" I wouldn't waste my energy on someone who is special needs. He was wrong, I was wrong to go there but less wrong than "clouts". I will not respond publicly to you again, I would also request that you either retract or redirect your "idiot" comment towards someone more deserving. So will you respond directly and we can have an adult conversation or is that something alien in Hull? You may continue to be a keyboard warrior hiding behind the virtual plexiglass or will we speak and maybe agree to meet and shake on a disagreement the next time I'm in hull baiting "clouts" or any other "idiot" who will bite? I look forward to hearing from you in my inbox. XxxxxxxX

I seem to remember Kostatine offering out a Panthers fan a few seasons back as well...i think unlike a lot of other rinks you can hear everything shouted as the roof is so low

Mark, take your son to the next Hull game see what he does then. Bunch of unprofessional idiots! Well done lads, was a great win! Chamberlain wants to act the big man then send the Guillepine in Mate my son has more dignity and decorum than me, he would have won the battle with words and intelligence. He is the nicest person you could wish to meet away from his day to day job. I unfortunately don't have that anger outlet facility, so sometimes it spills out of me. We are alike in that we like to see fairness and justice, he has self control (to an extent) and wouldn't fight for anything less than a 5-6 figure sum. I don't look to start issues but I'm happy to contribute to finishing them. Anyway, it's cloth-ear who should be embarrassed today not me. Totally unprofessional, the idiot on twitter who said I tried to fight chambermaid was obviously not in view, he was in my face pushing me and I was trying to dodge around him to speak to cloth-ear and avoid the acid breath coming through his cage. I'm looking forward to a cracking game tonight, safe travels up everyone. Is your son Dan Hardy? It was his tweet to Hull Stingrays about Cloutier that made me come on here to see what had gone off. He is awesome. Lol Regarding the abuse to your injured player it doesn't surprise me one bit and from my visits with the Steelers I am pretty sure of who it is. IMO there are a few 'Rays fans who over step the mark regarding banter. I remember Neil Clark having a word with one last season. If a player has to go off the ice due to an injury regardless of how serious or who you support they should be applauded. They are putting their bodies on the line to provide us with entertainment and deserve respect, rivalry shouldn't come into it. I don't like the panthers as a team for obvious reasons but I don't have anything against your players and certainly wouldn't be taking shots if one was injured. And while I am here what a beauty of a SH goal by Fox. Great player you have there.

Thanks mate, yes he is my son and yes he is awesome thank you. Thanks for your message, I can't argue with anything you say. The whole Sheffield vs Nottingham thing is what it is and adds fire to the fixtures. I am the sane, I wouldn't want to see any of your players injured. But when players go out to hurt others on purpose it's out of order. Unfortunately some teams cannot afford professional intelligent sportsman so they have to employ monkey thugs who can almost skate. They even joke about Levers getting out without stitches, see "clouts" post match interview from Saturday on their FB page. Class (not)! Remember Kocak?? See you Saturday.

Typical hull, shout off their mouth but when challenged they've got no balls to back it up.
