Yeah, they've got a wide range of kit. But if you live in Nottm, John @ The Hockey Den is very helpful, usually have a reasonable amount of kit in stock, but not as much as Puck Stop. You can order items though and are usually very quick. Decent amount of 2nd hand kit if you're not bothered about new gear and want to save money! Hope this helps!

Puckstop is quite expensive in comparison to the hockeyden and shock horror- the NIC. Don't be mis leaded by their website, the majority of the stuff on the will have to be ordered in, although it still has the biggest range. Generally I would say that if you know what you want, get the NIC to order it in; if you want second hand gear, go to the hockey den; and if you are unknown to what size, standard, feel of kit you want, make the trek up to puckstop.

Hey Guys You've missed out one of the better (if not the best) hockey suppliers in the UK, CrazyKennys (www.crazykennys.com). Based in Worksop, open 9am - 5pm weekdays, best prices, better service. ...and best of all, we're Panthers fans

Best prices? No. Theres alot more selection in other shops aswell Yeah right Eh? I'm not too sure how you can deny it. For example Bauer ice skates, theres alot wider range at Puckstop then Crazykenny's, you only really seem to specialise in the lower end of the skates whereas Puckstop has much more of a choice across the board. Fair enough you're TotalOne's are £2 cheaper. Another example is Inline skates, theres a hell of a lot more choice on Puckstop compared. For example, if i wanted a higher end CCM skate, i'd have much more of a choice at Puckstop (choice out of 5 boots ranging from £124-£384) compared to just 2 lower end boots on your site. Another peice of kit that you dont really seem to stock much higher end models, although your CCM Vector 2 inline boot seems to be your 'highest' model which is £120 and Puckstops CCM Vector 2 is their lowest at £124, so again you seem to outprice those by a few pounds. Yet another example - gloves. You only have 10 different models in gloves. 10! The highest model being a CCM Vector 6 at £90. Again though, you outdo Puckstop on like-for-like models (Puckstop's Vector 6's are £92), however once again, i have the choice of a much wider range of kit then i do on Crazykennys. Players sticks - Puckstop i've got a massive selection from Bauer TotalOnes, CCM U+'s, Easton Stealths/Synergys, Reebok 10k's and Warrior AK's. Crazykennys ive got.....well not alot at all in comparison Goalie kits exactly the same, if not worse. You only stock very minimal amounts of Reebok goalie kit whereas Puckstop ranges across the board on Reebok. Much more choice. I'd be quite stumped if i wanted a helmet from you aswell, as there are none. It seems to me that your site only really is geared up at players that are starting out new or are of very low - average (at best) ability, now im not saying theres anything wrong with this because everyone starts off at the bottom. But you cant sit there and say Crazykennys is a better website then Puckstop, because it just simply isnt.

Puckstop lists their distributors inventory on their site, they have very little in stock themselves.
Wait... How many distributors are there for hockey equipment in the UK? So odds are they both have the same/similar order list available to them.
Difference being, 1 has cheaper prices and the other is in Yorkshire...

Last time i checked Puckstop wasnt a unit on an idustrial estate in Worksop. If that is the case, why is there a much bigger selection at Puckstop compared to Crazykennys? You dont seen puckstop having to plug their sites on forums like this just to get business....

I'm suggesting that one advertises what they actually have in stock (ie. ready to ship) and the other advertises everything and anything they can. There's nothing wrong with that it's just that in all probability CK could infact order just the same as PS but isn't as inclined to advertise things they don't physically have.

Maybe puckstop are losing out on business because they don't advertise. I dealt with Crazy Kenny's and had a much better customer experience than puck stop.

I love a good Discussion, don't you ;D
Just a couple of things to mention here, CrazyKennys isn't on an industrial estate, we're actually in a retail shop unit, opposite are houses, but yes we are a mail order business, why, because it works, having had 3 retails shops before (check out the old HockeyShop opposite the NIC) it doesn't work here in the UK.
@ Notts is spot on, why list loads of stuff that may or may not be available at the UK suppliers, it may look good on a website but if you can't get it.... Why do you think P/S have a web price and a shop price.
Yep wouldn't it be great to have masses of goalie gear all sitting on the shelf gathering dust while UK goalies pull it in from Canada!!
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to do a Hockey Giant and put masses of top end gear into stock - problem is 18 years of experience in this business tells me that I'd be bankrupt by Christmas!!
As for advertising on here, sorry wrong, where's my advert, does my Avatar say "CrazyKennys.com" (it's the advert from Powerplay magazine with the advertising removed), do I have links to my website / Blog / Facebook / Twitter pages below my postings - no.
I commented on this posting, reminding you guys that CrazyKennys.com exists - check the rest of my postings, I've been a Panthers fan since 1983, I comment on the Panthers.
As for Puckstop themselves, I've known Pat and Brian for many years, originally they were customers of mine from my first HockeyShop in Sheffield, nice people, big Steelers fans, but apart from that, nice people.
Talking of my old Sheffield Shop, get this, a Panthers fan, in Sheffield, selling Steelers gear to the enemy - it could only happen in Hockey ;D

I think there was almost a coherent thought behind that one, just doesn't really come off too well! As for which shop is better? I've used both plenty of times as well as proline in Cardiff. As a goalie I'll be honest non of them are great but I have had all 3 order stuff in before with no problems even if it's stuff not listed on their website and recently I spoke to the UK disributor for Bauer (a company called Wheels)to order in a stick. The only issue is that it cost nearly £200 while the same stick in the USA is $100. Hockey kit here is expensive unfortunatly and in their own ways both Crazykennys and Puckstop do a good job of making reasonable amounts of stuff available to us with ease.
