It seems there is still some confussion about the result against Milan, on both sides of the Channel.
My best understanding is as follows :
Panthers and Milan both take 1 point for the 2-2 draw. The penalty shootout only has any relevance if we finish the group level on points with Milan and with the same goal statistics as well.
Certainly seems to have been a great backs to the wall performance by the lads today but at a price. Paul Moran and Roman Tvrdon both look set to out for at least 2 weeks. Jan Madoshko isn't expected to play tomorrow. Word from France is that Craigheads' penalty was a Game not a Match as I'd earlier understood it to be. Hopefully he will be back tomorrow - the bench is desperately short. (thanks to Paula for the info).
Tomorrows game will probably be harder than todays.
Hope BJ has taken his skates with him.... he will be needed at this rate.

Not going to hide my bias, yeah he's my favourite, followed only just by Scott & Curtis Well done Panthers

I got a text from YP saying 2-6 weeks injuries
Either way, a great start to the european campaign, against a very strong team, and your fans sure as hell sounded loud during 1st period (could only listen to that as had to go to work)
Shame about Paul and Roman, however going to europe has a history of coming back with injuries (Based on previous campaigns by Sheffield, London, Cardiff!), and I suppose its the price you pay for Euro glory.
Either way, the platform is there for you guys - just make sure you use it.
Good luck tomorrow, unfortunatly I cannot listen to webcast/chat room, as im heading off to belfast, but looking forward to listening to the webcast on sunday!!

Does Craighead play tomorrow? A bit unclear over what penalty he received.

does anyone else think it is just our luck to do somthing really good for the club and yet come out with some injuries?? i mean couldnt we all see it coming, personally think it is a blow, howeva, getting a result against milan, and possibly some other teams will hopefully give us some confidence, and when we come back in this league with a full team, we should realise how good we can be! well done lads, shame about the injuries. something to be pleased about for now! rogue

If Milan are as good as people say they are, then hopefully Panthers will come back with confidence. At least they have shown what they can play like, so lets hope it continues back home.

IEither way, the platform is there for you guys - just make sure you use it. Would be great if we could but it's going to very hard now with the injuries. The short bench will likely be our undoing, fatigue being the biggest problem. The draw with Milan is really a very good result but will have taken a lot out of the players. Us winning the shootout means the Vipers will be looking to run up their goal tally in their remaining 2 games to take the shootout result out of the equation. With their long bench they are well placed to do that. With our (very) short bench we will be struggling to win our remaining games let alone indulge in the goal fest that will probably be necessary to win the group. Still, a draw between Amiens and Milan would make things interesting.

As Big Dave Steeler said "Shame about Paul and Roman, however going to europe has a history of coming back with injuries (Based on previous campaigns by Sheffield, London, Cardiff!), and I suppose its the price you pay for Euro glory."
Indeed. Point is, we didn't have to be there. If we are disrupted by the injuries, lines don't click because of cover players signed, and we lose and draw games we need to draw/win, will it be enough for Adey to say at the end of the year, "Yes, but we got a couple of points in France"? Doubt it very much. I'd rather have a league title, thanks.

but the league title is there every single year, europe is not.
If we are truely good enough these injuries will not make a huge difference to our attempt at the league. yes we have lost Tvrdon for a few weeks and lost moran for 2 weeks at the most, hardly chapionship ending is it when he will miss about 3 games most at home.

What a hell of a good result, the 1-0 win in the 2nd match.
Gives us a real chance of winning this round and going to Norway. Even if we don't Panthers have performed amazingly well against all the odds..well done.

Well done Panthers with a great result. ;D
Special well done to Cruickshank for being outstanding.
Myers for getting MoM award.
JC for not dropping the gloves and casuing one of their players to get a Match P.
And the youngsters...just for being great when we are short of bodies.
We are going to Norway! ;D

Great result and what sounds like another solid team performance, never mind about possible consequences regarding injuries lets just take each game as it comes and win it 1 at a time who knows? this could be the boost that kickstarts our season! (fingers crossed) Keep it up lads!

Hi Everyone, This is the first time writing to the cage although I've been reading it for months..
Just like to add our Congratulations to the lads for playing their socks off. Everyone's so proud of you, can't wait to see you next week at the NIC.
Does anyone know when the Norway matches will be played. We've already booked a weekend in Belfast to watch the Panthers and are hoping that its not then..
Obviously I'm already assuming that we are going to Norway....
Good luck for tomorrow.

Its all so exciting I have to admit that I never dreamed we'd do so well! It is a shame about the injuries, but I think that most of us would say it was worth it, and i'm sure those of us over there are having a wonderful time. Just like to add my thanks to Chris Ellis and the BBC for the webcasts, its great!
