Does anybody know how many fans are going to France. I am travelling independently with my two lads and really looking forward to it. Also, how do we compare to the opposition we will meet - are we likely to be able to compete in the three games?

Hi John ...
To my knowledge there are two coachloads of fans going plus independant travellers ... a ballpark figure of 100-150 fans seems realistic.
I believe that Amiens Gothiques are widely tipped to top the group, many believe us to be second. Ljubljana are a bit of an unknown entity and Milan - well judging by some of their recent signings they'll be no walk over!
One things for sure - it's going to be a fantastic weekend with some classic hockey. I truly believe we have a chance, we have a very European flavour to our team this year so we'll know how to play the game.
I'm counting the days .... see you there!

Do they take Euros in Bracknell? Well, it sure feels like a different country, living down here in the south! However, last time I checked, they don't take Euros, only English pounds. As this was when I spent a fair amount of money doing my Christmas shopping this afternoon (its a long story), I think I am safe in advising travelling fans to bring only GP pounds, and leave the Euros at home for tomorrow! See you there!!!! I finally get to see this year's panthers team adn I can't wait!!! Oh, and I can't make Amiens but I can listen to the webcast ;D

Personally, i think there's no way Amiens will win the group, Their defence seems especially weak. They'll finish either 2nd or 3rd, more than likely 3rd. Milan should win the group, with us in 2nd . Our game against Amiens should be fairly close, but i think we should win, Olimpija, even win Tommi and John will probably finish last, maybe getting a point here or there.

our defence is weaker than theres with Krulis and magdosko in ourteam, krulis epecially weak.
If we could ever have ricci and carlsson together they would be impossible to get past but adey is forced to split them up and put riici with one and calle with the other to try and make the pairing as strong as possible.

According to the latest news on the Amiens club website, Panthers fans have bought 176 3-day passes for the Tournament - by far the biggest number of any of the 3 visiting teams! They also expect up to a further 75 of us to purchase tickets between now and next week, making possibly 250 in total.
Confirmed that Milan will be taking between 60 and 100 (as stated above), but Olimpija may only be taking their bus driver to support them!
The rink capacity is just 3,400 with 2,820 seats, and apparently Amiens sell out most of their home games.
Also, ex-Bee Joe Busillo, who now plays for Milan, is suspended for the game against Panthers - shame that!

Ho Ho .... it's only a week away!
Sounds like Olimpija could do with borrowing our support for their games against Amiens and Milan then.
Bring it on ...

Was wondering that myself though not booked through the supporters club. I wanted to collect them there but the ticket office in Amiens seemed insistent on posting them and I'm just starting to get a bit concerned.

I'll be taking my laptop and camera ....
Hopefully there'll be a data port in the hotel room ....
No promises but I shall try to put photos and updates online through the weekend ...
Plus there'll be Chris Ellis's webcasts.
I know it's not the same Tim, but it's something!
If you want I'll bring you back a program mate.

Just had notification from Joe Wathall that the 192 tickets that he ordered, were mailed to him on Thursday evening and should take 4-5 days to arrive. This to me is cutting it very fine, especially as some folks are taking and extened trip to France and require their tickets before they go. Perhaps they should ring Joe or e-mail him to make arrangements to collect when they are over there. If I haven't received the tickets for our coach before Thursday am this is my next line of defence. I have already asked the question.

So there should be 200 or so of us? Where are people staying? We are in Ibis (Centre ville). Anyone else on the early (7:45?) speedferries ferry?
