Mike Cammerllari for Rene Bourque straight up after Cammerllari had comments, which were badly translated and caused the wonderful and not at all angry people of Montreal to go up in arms.

As a Flames fan the Borque trade was a masterful piece of business. He got his big contract at the end of the 2009/10 season and has been largely dissappointing since.
Cammy is class - glad to see him a Flame again!!!!
Now if we could get rid of Bouwmeister...

Bouwmeester has had a great year hasn't he? Strikes me as one of the most under-rated players in the league.
I also thought you got fleeced in the Bourque deal, Cammalleri is much more of a dead weight.

The Rangers can add someone with a $4,485,246 contract at the deadline as they'll only be taking what's left of the season on his contract. For the numbers that teams can add, see here www.capgeek.com/trade_deadline_tracker.php

Last thing we need is someone else who's missed a lot of time.

Well the Flyers have gone out and got Grossman from the Stars for a 2nd rounder in 2012 and a 3rd in 2013.
That seems like a pretty steep price to me, but then again I'm not an NHL GM.

Rumours around a Nash move to NYC, Sather has reportedly been asked for Dubinsky, Kreider and a 1st round pick.
Personally I could live with Dubi going, he is way off his normal production and last year's figures of 24 goals magically coincided with his contract year. Having said that, I'd much prefer to see Boyle traded, he's the softest big guy in the NHL and Dubi is one of the heartbeats in the team.
As for Kreider, I wouldn't settle for anyone less than Toews for this guy. 6'3 and 225 lbs, he's one for the future and is potentially going to put up the same numbers as Nash anyway.
Also Nash's cap hit of $7.3 is something that doesn't sit right with me, we have a hell of a lot of young stars who will be needing their salaries upgrading in the seasons before Nash's contract runs out, these young guns are far more important to the team than Nash would be.
Nash would no doubt be an incredible addition to the roster, but the price to pay is too high in my book. Throw in the fact that Nash might not choose to be traded anyway, and I can't see this deal coming off.
I wouldn't be too happy with any changes to be honest, I think the best of the young crop is still to come, and this shouldn't be seen as our make or break cup winning year. Looking beyond this season, I think the chance of a cup will be increased if only minor tweaks are made. The team is all about the chemistry and the brotherhood, so let's keep them together.

The Flyers have acquired (D) Pavel Kubina from Tampa Bay in exchange for (C) Jonathan Kalinski, a 2nd round pick (previously acquired from Florida) and a 2013 4th round pick ... The 2nd round pick has Florida's option to be in 2012 or 2013.

3 team deal.
Colorado trades Kyle Quincey to Tampa for Steve Downie, while Tampa then trades Quincey to Detroit for Detroit's 1st round pick plus some low level prospect.
Detroit just got fleeced.

Steve Y is busy at TBL. Not sure they will appreciate Kubina, Moore and Downie going though, seems a bit drastic

Dogs get Antoine Vermette from CBJ for a couple of picks (2012 second-round, a conditional fifth-round in 2013) and Curtis McElhinney.
The 5th rounder would become a 4th rounder, if we get past the 1st round of the playoffs. So a 5th rounder then. But happy with that, we didn't really give away anything.

It'll take more than that to get Nash, the asking price is a good roster player, 1/2 prospects and a 1st round pick.

Why is Nash so desired? He's so overpaid... I concur, still waiting for him to reach his potential IMO. He might never get there. Would rather 2 or 3 decent players than Nash.

Probably because even on a terrible Columbus team he has scored goal after goal. He averages 32 goals a season (that takes into account his rookie year when he only scored 17 and one year he only played 54 games). Edit- I do agree to an extent though. I prefer 3 lines f scoring depth to spending all the team's money on one line of stars.

When you're the only real attacking threat on a roster you get every opportunity to score, so whilst his goals are respectable they're not THAT impressive. He'd most likely have his chances improve whilst losing ice time elsewhere, so who knows if it'd even improve?
I'd love to see him with Giroux, but not at that price on that contract.

It works both ways, as the only threat you get all the other team's attention.
