Someone reckons Clan will announce the new coach on Thursday.
I wonder if it'll be Doug, the person mentioned that the coach is a known name in the EIHL.

Finland win 3-0 and so our destiny is very much in our own hands

Finland are 2-0 up on France which is good news for us at the moment.
It means we just need a win in regulation to stay up

People didn't expect anything, that's the point.
Perhaps we underestimated the strength of Denmark but we're up against stronger teams than ourselves and our level isn't the top.
Something fundamentally needs to change for Great Britain to take that step up to the Elite, pardon the pun, level. We put up a decent fight against the USA and Denmark got battered by them. We need more players playing outwith the UK in order for us to make significant steps.
There needs to be a restructuring of the League set up from top to bottom, have a JDL (Junior Developmental League) and have each top tier team assigned a JDL team, then create a national 2nd tier with promotion & relegation between the 2 Leagues. The Leagues would be split into 2 divisions each of Northern based teams and Southern based teams. The 2nd tier would follow the same structure. At the end of the regular season in the top division the 2 teams that finish bottom of the respective conferences will have a 1 off playoff at a neutral venue with the loser being relegated and replaced by a team from the conference in the second tier that matches the one they were in in the top tier, this gets rid of the uneven number of teams issue.
There'll also be a pre season cup competition between winners of the top tier & Second tier.
I also forgot to add that JDL teams would play on the same day as their parent team does at home like a few hours before.

Another hammering on the cards and we haven't learned anything from last week.
Well at least we get a rest before France but it won't be easy against them

At least we ain't Italy, they are getting roasted by Russia, 8-0 with a period left to play, they haven't scored in the tournament yet

I meant the Americans
I know they aren't as under strength as Canada seems to be which makes the score unbelievable

I think we'll be in for another lesson today, USA at least have a few players I know of
Noah Hanifin Johnny Gaudreau Derek Ryan
Those are Flames players
Others I know are
Cory Schneider Ryan Suter Jack Eichel Patrick Kane Chris Kreider Dylan Larkin James Van Riemsdyk
If we keep that lineup to below 6 goals we'll be doing well but I reckon that lineup should get at least 10 against us

America, Finland & Slovakia
Then the potential relegation decider against France provided they don't pick up any more points until we meet

I personally didn't think we'd win a game anyway, not being negative but rather just being honest.
We'll always be playing catch up with these teams

I think playing under strength demeans the competition, yeah I know the Stanley Cup is still going but perhaps then, the World Championship should be scheduled after the Stanley Cup is over.
I'd have rather played Canada's very best than the kids they had.
US have Gaudreau

I don't think we'll get anything either but some Clan fans reckon we'll beat Canada & USA, not making this up.
Plus they're calling out Clan fans who are being realistic by calling them negative, since when is it negative to point out an obvious gulf in class.

Any player we've had off you has done well for us, most of the time.
Jade Galbraith was class for us in 2011/12
