This thread warrants a(nother) brief reminder of the golden rule at the top of the forum rule sheet: I've removed a few posts on this thread and edited a few others that were quoting them as I considered some of the comments to be potentially libellous. Note the word 'potentially', the comments may have been true but that's not the point. The point is that I don't want to incur legal fees and I don't suppose you do either. The Independent Publisher offer the following on potentially libellous material: Whilst its true that the above came from an American website written using American spelling and based on the laws in the US, the above still applies here. To say that you saw someone sniffing powder is potentially libellous. If you can't prove you saw them sniffing powder then you wouldn't stand much chance in a court case. Even if you did win a court case it'd cost you a lot of money, so probably isn't worth it.

GlynnM has been granted a compulsory leave of absence from this forum for the next 2 months.
Bans and long term suspensions are very rare on this forum, but the moderators have decided they've heard enough from him for the time being. GlynnM's suspension is the second ever to come under rule 15 (see below).
GlynnM, if you're reading this, your suspension ends on Christmas day (we thought we'd show seasonal good will, or something). Feel free to have a 'bleat' about this on another forum of your choice (I don't care as I don't read that forum and there's a good chance I've heard it all before anyway). If you feel like wearing this as some kind of badge of honour then please see the previous sentence. Considering the timing of the end of your ban, and looking at the fixture list, please be advised that on your return there will be a ZT policy towards anything that the mods deem to be trollish.

Hiya, hope the admins dont mind me doing a bit of advertising here, but I run Bunkers Hill and as ive said before Im a big fan of the Panthers and would just like to get peoples opinion on what they would like to see happen in the pub. We already get a fair amount of hockey fans in before and after the game but be nice to get more in for a better atmosphere. So people let me know and I will see what I can do. That's not advertising, it's market research and on that basis is fine by me. Let me know when you have the beer vouchers ready

Those of us using Google Chrome have been receiving malware warnings from Google when attempting to view some threads. The warnings are because Google has found that leetspeak appears to host or link to malware and other such stuff that could cause harm. Please avoid posting content from leetspeak in threads or in your avatar. If you find a graphic from leetspeak that you want to use then upload it to a file hosting site and link to that instead (once getting permission from the image copyright holder first of course ).

Taken from a previous thread : Hi Guys
(Moderators feel free to delete this message if it is not allowed on here)
But if anybody wants their shirts framing I will happily do them for £65 each (we would normally charge £150 for an ice hockey shirt framing due to the size)
And I would donate £15 from each one to the Dave Page Fund (I believe something is already being planned by the club to raise money for the family ?)
We can frame other ice hockey stuff as well and make a similar donation - just tell them what you have
You would need to be able to get your items to our warehouse in Long Eaton
Might save some of you a bit of cash and raise some money for a good cause at the same time
Call Chris on 0115 9728666 and tell him you are from The Cage Forum website if you are interested - I will make sure they do a good job for you

The disciplinary committee will certainly be convened in the event of a formal complaint being submitted - unlike the EIHL we do actually have one!

Enough!
Thank you gentlemen.
Arguing about the right to opinions is way off topic and endless repetition of a point is not only boring but will induce Moderation.

Thread now re-instated after extensive pruning - for the benefit of people who have something constructive to say.
I really do have better things to do with my time than tidying up self opinionated arguments. I can see a case for introducing half-term a little early....

As the result of a technical hitch, a number of new accounts registered on the Cage between Saturday 24th Jan and today were lost during the approval procedure.
Anyone who setup an account during this period but has not received approval for it will need to register again unfortunately.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

Can admin please delete this thread, if i would have thought it would cause this i wouldn't have bothered. Thanks Rather than deleting it, seeing as I'm online I'll tidy up the thread as I can see the humour in it even if Buster doesn't choose to.

Enough muppetry.
We've got better things to do over the festive period than tidy up puerile exchanges.
Be warned.

Personal arguments are far too prevalent on the Cage just now.
Take personal disagreements to some other media please.
This is a final warning.

This thread asks a valid question.
Hence the re-instatement of the thread after the removal from it of petty squabbles between people who are old enough to know better.
Take note - it's much easier to suspend accounts than to tidy up petty and abusive posting.

Can we stop arguing about what was or wasn't implied/intended in individual posts and stick to talking about the hockey.
Thank you - Cage Admin

Many thanks to Kim and Stef for all their efforts in conceiving this poll and then bringing it to fruition - your efforts are greatly appreciated by supporters old and new.
Thanks too to everyone who took part in recalling memorable moments from the past sixty years - it's been a roller coaster ride but here's to the next sixty years!
