Hi people, as some of you know Notts County have created a new club logo and was abit confused about the meaning behind what looks to be a "H" in the middle... If anyone knows the meaning about this can you please post below...
Cheers

Moreover, what is the reason for the castle on the badge? Did the designer look up Magpies and find Newcastle? ;D

Its Nottingham castle isnt it... Yes, I think so anyway. ...the meaning behind what looks to be a "H" in the middle... From what I've read it's meant as a reference to Robin Hood, and I've not made that up either Bloke at work says the purple is the colour of the royal family who have bought the club. You'd think County may have explained the new badge but I couldn't find anything official online.

To be honest i initially thought it was a reference to Robin Hood too but then a family member seems to think that it might not be a "H" as it is elongated but i was thinking that its meant to elongate to form the surrounding shield.

Took me a while but I kinda like it now. Pity they removed the football from underneath the magpies though.

I prefer it to the last one - sucks for anyone with a tattoo of the old logo though

Its Nottingham castle isnt it... Nottingham castle looks nothing like that. The H has a few conspiracy theorists thinking that it has surreptitiously fitted an M and F in it.

That's only the gatehouse though Of course, the only bit even remotely worth looking at. They're not gonna put a mini version of the full castle mound on there, complete with a tiny Trip to Jerusalem in the bottom corner are they?

I can't see an M or an F in that symbol.
Another theory I've seen is that you can see an H and a T, so it could represent the House of Thani.

It does seem odd that the club can't really explain what it is. If it's meant to be an H representing Robin Hood, then why not make it look like an H? If it doesn't mean anything then what's it there for?

I have only seen this through the news and such, but as a past supporter (minor) in attendance years ago, I wish the logo was not changed.Having said that, if they felt need to it's not bad.A simple design which is needed and a few conutations which looks good. But why purple and anything to do with the owners? That means it will be changed in future, yes? Considering Notts in the news (where I came in) they might not be legal/allowed, there for long?

I think this was cleared in the Majestic Magpies thread. The H in the middle of the badge is the symbol of that well known company (that nobody has heard of) Swiss Commodity Holdings.
