Good signing, no question. Cannot seriously believe that people still want Toneys back (DUCK!) and I'd be happy for Clarke to be released and the no doubt considerable money he's on going towards raising the standard of import players.

Would take Toneys tomorrow no problem, also likely to happen as he wants to continue/add to his education at uni in d*rby I believe so makes financial sense also. Solid d-man, calm and very level headed both on and off the ice.

BRUUUCE!! ;D Excellent news, next on my list to return is Mark Richardson, I was the first one to critisize him in his first season with us, but this year? What a player!

The biggest signings of the summer - and by God they'd better be big - will be replacements for Tessier and Molin and some major development on D; now it's pretty much assured that those two won't be returning most of anything else we retain from the current roster will be middle order, I'd say.
Having proved himself by coming back from his lean spell, Cook's probably the only other guy I'd have any determination about wanting back.

Cook is a definite 'keep' in my book, but hand in hand with that goes Jade's re-signing... don't want to open up a whole new 'Jade's fat and lazy, no he's not he has NHL skills' debate but a lot of cooks latter season improvement was down to Jade's passes and FWIW I would expect Jade to re-sign next season. If, as expected, JoMo heads back to Sweden and with Tess heading back to Canada (and who can blame them, i'm seriously considering heading to one of those places to call it home myself) we really do need to pull some hefty rabbits out the hat.

I'm more settled now. Just as long as they replace Clarkey and his handbag, I'll be fine. Over a point a game Clarkie?? Who you going to replace him with? Colin Shields please

Anybody that doesn't come with his Sicknote Record. You've not really thought it through have you? How about Shields? Or go for a middle tier Brit and spend the money saved on a better import. Clarke one way or another disappears for half a season and has done this for a fair few years now. If he's not one of the top earners I'd be hugely surprised, unfortunately he's just not consistent enough and offers very little else apart from his half a season goals tally Back on topic Good signing. Richardson always puts the effort in, solid middleweight fighter, puts up good numbers, adds great experience, brilliant agitator and actually checks on a semi regular basis Good start

He's been inconsistent pretty much every season he's been here and also suffered a serious injury in at least two of those seasons. I just personally think there are a couple of Brits out there who would be a good swap for him

Isn't owen a centre as well. If so, 2 top british centres in Owen and Myers if they were both to sign and with richardson on top of that. Hmm i'd be happy without another import centre.

Can't say I'm shocked as Bruce was sat helping with paperwork in the Panthers Office when I went to pick up my Bullas shirt on Friday. In Beyond The Tunnel its pretty obvious he had no intention of going anywhere after this season. I'm happy to keep him. He's a very good 100% effort bull at a gate player. Reminds me of Darcy Loewen.....only without being completely insane and scoring more often LOL. Welcome back, Bruuuuuuuce :-)

Just been trying to look for his stats from this season but to no avail, pretty hard trying to read french when you don't have a first clue. Noticed though that his team are top of the french league (dont know whether the season has finished or not).

Cook might be a tough/expensive keep after this season. He'd had offers to play in Sweden already when he came here but Neilson used the example of Joe Tallari as how Elite league could be a good showcase for the European leagues. This is how Neilson got him to consider Panthers. link to source for the aboveIf he love being in Nottingham then he may want to stay, otherwise we may lose him I fear.

Noticed though that his team are top of the french league (dont know whether the season has finished or not). Owen had 6 goals and 15 assists for 21 points in 25 games this season. This was only 9th on his team and well outside the top 50 in the league. I suspect Briacon were expecting more from him given his previous two seasons. He might be available as a result

I'd still take him because with the right players he would average over a point per game in this league.

Shields signed a 2yr deal at Belfast.
Greg Owen would be good IF he wants to come back to the EIHL
