Also, during the minutes noise on Saturday, I think it would be very fitting if instead of just clapping and cheering we could all chant Pagers name... at the end of the day, the off ice crew are just as important as the on ice team, we chant their names, so why not Daves???

Well if Pager is up there somewhere, looking down on us all, he can be a very very proud man! 12 pages of replies, over 10,000 views, every club in the EPL and EIHL holding a silence/noise, unity across the country in combined sadness, and hundreds of memories coming out.... Pager its clear to anyone that didnt know you how loved you really were! Its very very rare for anyone to get such a massive reaction to such sad news... But you were a rare personallity and one we shall all remember for many years to come! Its a very very sad time, but exceptionally moving and heart warming to see such as response to such a well liked man! If I were Pager now, I would be so overcome with the public response, and proud to have been a part of the British Ice Hockey community! RIP Pager, you will always be with us one way or another! pagey is probably thinking... "look at all those daft sods down there, i was only doing my job " lol

For a change, I agree with Sambo, however, can we trust people to turn off their flash? I doubt whether some even know how to. A flash close to the action at the wrong time could distract a player & cause injury. You don't need to have your flash on in a big arena that is well lit, and besides, the flash is for short distances, so it would be totally wasted in the arena anyway. Most clubs do allow photography anyway, as long as the flash is off. I believe Panthers are the only ones who don't allow it at all.

Why don't you all take cameras and while the cheering is going on just take loads of random pics to get the whole place flashing?
That would be cool, and with digital cams you can then just delete the crap and you have lost nowt.

The banner was bloody great, it was a fitting quote for a well loved big hearted guy. The whole thing last night was a fitting tribute to Dave Page, and Owen who was obviously as well thought of by the Steelers, as Dave was by the Panthers.
You will both be irreplaceable.

Just flown back from holiday and read this tragic news.
My thoughts and prayers are with Dave's family at this very sad time.
The photo pit can be a lonely place at times, however the tributes paid here show, what a welcoming place the whole Panthers scene is once you take your 'game face' off.
All the very best Dave, we spoke personally only on a couple of occasions, more on email and recently facebook, I shall miss our chats.

Never met the guy but frequented his website on a regular basis. A huge loss to the sport without a shadow of doubt. RIP
