In 2008 we won the Grandslam in some style!! And now we look better than ever... a 2009 Six Nations looks quite likely, and a Grandslam could be on the cards. After just losing to South Africa, competing well against New Zealand and then beating Australia... Wales look the best side to win next year. Notice how the Wales game is last... a title decider between Wales and Ireland? A possible... would be absolutly amazing for both countries!

As long as England don't win I dont care - be interesting to see how the Matt Stevens saga affects the team and the build up.
Wales played the best, most entertaining rugby last year, and if they do again, then I hope they win - but I would be happy with any of Ireland, Scotland, Italy or Wales winning it.

I am not knocking England as a country (Before people claim I am!) - but I don't rate their chances one bit in this competition this year. They are in need of a decent coach (Which isn't Martin Johnson), & a mass overhaul of staff & players. They are a bit of a mess at the minute me thinks.

St valentines day massacre in cardiff then, got to say we played the best games against the southern hemisphere so whilst not counting my chickens yet I do have the hens lined up ready!
I reckon big dangers are only France and Ireland!

ALLEZ LA FRANCE!!! ;D MOI AUSSI! ;D Max Boyce ensured I could never look sympathetically on Welsh success. ;D Actually, I don't mind if the Irish win - I've got Irish ancestry. And who knows, the underdog may yet bite but given the state of the England setup just now that doesn't seem likely.

I'm in the fortunate position of being 1/2 English, 1/4 Welsh and 1/4 Scottish, so I have a 50% chance of winning each year!
Wales for me this year

Surely this year that is a 25% chance don't think your 50% English will deliver, for insurance got any Irish connections Rumpole!

Statistically, 3 out of 6 = 50%; I wasn't suggesting England would win it. I have an Irish connection in that I have banked with the Allied Irish Bank for nearly 20 years, and I had an Irish business partner for a similar period. Don't think Ireland have quite got it this time round

The England rugby team are becoming like the German football team. They may look rubbish during all the friendlies but when the tournament comes along they seem to end up in the latter stages.
As Ricky Ponting said about losing the ODI's to South Africa - all people remember is the World Cup.

Superb game tonight between France and Wales with the result in doubt until the final whistle.
Awesome play by both teams in the loose and especially at the breakdowns - unrelentingly physical.
I don't think I ever remember seeing a French pack play with such enrgy and control before - especially given their weight disadvantage.
Before the game I thought Wales would edge it but hats off to France, that was a great performance against a good team.
