No complaints re the ref from me. He missed a few things (don't they all!) but on the whole was ok. Buster, the penalty shot was given for throwing his stick; not allowed and again...no complaints. aaaah, didnt see him throw his stick. I didn't either. I thought it got jammed between players and flicked up into the air. I didn't see a throwing motion.

people are so damn fickle. 2 weeks ago, the title was lost. last week when we won, we had every chance to win the title. this week we lose 1 out of 2 games (which was a shocker, but i'll get to that later) and the titles out of the window again. i reckon people ought to make up their minds like the few more seasoned fans (jono, kim et al) and stick to their guns, instead of backtracking every bloody week and running with the crowd. you're more than welcome to change your opinion, but changing it every week like this makes you a little transparent. the game, not a bad effort, a bit boring to watch, a good couple of checks. matt myers goal fell very nicely for him, a good but lucky goal. golicics was quite nifty. its a shame that hulls 2 goals game in quick succession as it really broke, what little flow the game had, up. i really dont understand why the penalty shot was given. it frustrates me when goalies go walkabouts, but i see no reason as to why it was given. i think that if hull hadnt have scored so late on, it would have ended up going to penalties and panthers would have clinched it (if not before in OT). but theres no point going on about that, because it didnt happen. just a bit unfortunate really. wasnt really awe inspiring hockey. but of a dull game overall. Without fail I am driven to use the wonderful forum tool, "ignore user"....

Buster, the penalty shot was given for throwing his stick; not allowed and again...no complaints. aaaah, didnt see him throw his stick. Buster, Robinson's stick ended up pretty much two-thirds of the way out to the boards near to the block the Hull fans were in. No grumbles about the penalty shot decision, but the ironic thing is that the Hull player with the empty net actually fanned on the shot. I bet the travelling fans can't believe their luck tonight. We looked lethargic, had trouble stringing two passes together and gave Hull plenty of openings when trying to over-elaborately play our way out of our zone. I'm just glad Hull aren't overly blessed with too many quality forwards or else we could have been looking at a bigger losing margin. I see that Bruce Richardson openly stated on the 'wonderful' Panthers website that anything less than two wins this weekend would be unacceptable. So all the good work down in Basingstoke has been overshadowed by what I consider to have been a more than unacceptable performance. I never seriously believed we had a sniff of the title, and yet again, a poor performance against a team who consider making the Play-Offs an achievement has pretty much chucked us off the road into the ditch. Not good enough Panthers, again.

- Anyone who thinks Panthers might still win this league are living in wonderland. Consistency wins leagues and that is something we don't have. All season it's been a few wins followed by a loss, a few more wins followed by a loss. Teams like Sheffield win the league, look at there record over the last few months...i havn't checked but im guessing 1 or 2 regulation losses? We won't come close to winning the league. That isn't being negative but rather stating the obvious as far as im concerned. Someone talking sense at last. Panthers inconsistency is likely to see them finish 3rd at best.

bad game for panthers tonight, we got completely out worked, and thats all it was.... hull wanted it more.
the league chase is not over, problem is its now completely out of our hands, before losing this game we could have caught sheff (bar 1 point) by winning the rest of our games including beating them twice in the games left with them. now even if we won all our games for the rest of the season we are completely reliant on sheffield losing somewhere along the line .... thats why people are saying we are out of the league race and its true. the main point being its now out of our hands!
we need belfast and blaze to beat sheffield then we need to beat all 3 of them, its not impossible but its also just as unlikely it will happen.

Hull made us play them, we should have made them play us... we looked like the away team
it was not the refs fault... we didnt create enough clear chances, we didnt take those that we did make just not good enough tonight

nobody turned up none of the imports, meyers and myers put themselves about a bit and to me that was the only highlight again cannot blame hicks for the loss, just need to blame the team as a whole for a pathetic display! I hope nobody tries to put a positive spin on that display whatsoever.it was the most lazy, pathetic, garbage, witless display in years to my mind. Buster if you are a fan you always hope, that is not being fickle that is being a fan ok! To my mind the only thing i want to hear from Corey is an apology and the names of players we are getting rid of quick! put the team on two weeks it works up the road doesnt it?

sacking players will not solve anything at this stage in my opinion.
we need Molin back! and we need consistency on the lines. this idea of switching between Golcich (who i would replace with Moilin once fit he doesn't add much at all) and mark richardson D to offence is crazy!

Maybe we might have been more 'tuned in' for this game if we'd started Woolhouse...

The marketings going well with players posing for Panthers merchandise all over the programme. So would that time spent in photo shoots be best used back on the ice training or have we ran out of ideas as to how to win against lowly teams at home?

Why do we change things when we are winning comfortably ? 1st period Golicic on d, Richardson up front. Then 2nd period swop over for no reason.
That says to me Corey got complacent and over confident (just like they always say we wont) and started experimenting in the game because he thought we had it won. If only we could play as good a game as we can talk ! And why split the Cook/Myers/Galbraith line up,that line has been our best line over the last month. We should just have replaced Molin with Golicic and left everything else alone.
Absolute crap tonight,we had 33 shots in the game and i am struggling to remember more than about 4 or 5 that made Cruickshank make a decent save !!!!!

How did Corey LeClair play tonight ? OK. He does the simple things well. I don't recall him being on the ice for any Stingrays goal.
