So the manager gets his marching orders at Forest and a new vacancy has arisen. Who do you want and anyone brave enough to predict who the club will actually get?

I think you can rule out Clough; I understand that his situation at Burton is very much to his liking in a work/life sense (I don't think he even draws a wage) and he's said in the past that he's not interested in the pressures of management at a high(ish, in this case) level.

Intresting, there isnt an obvious choice really.
Would Pearce leave his current job?

I think Billy Davies will get the job... but would like to see Roy Keane or Alan Curbishley. Or to be honest, someone that shows just a tad more passion than Mr. Calderwood... can't be too difficult!!

Davies is heavily tipped in the NEP.

Roy Keane? Dear god on heaven no.
Here's something i put on another forum about him:
I doubt he'd take the job, but i really hope he is not even taken into consideration.
Keane remains to be arguably the most over-rated manager in the business. He did get Sunderland promoted and he did keep them up, but he did this with more money than we could even hope to offer him. Sunderland were the fourth highest spenders in world football last year and he kept them up by 3 points. He inherited a pretty good side and still spent 3 times more money than anyone else in the league to get them up in the first place.
The man may instill respect (for some reason, the coward) but he's a very disappointing manager, and one i do not want us to appoint.

i would like to Alan Curbishley or Roy Keane but i feel it will be Billy Davis, but i see it as a backward step whats wrong with davies, hes done well whereever hes been and a proven coach at championship level apart from his prem spell at derby. this would be a good time for a new coach just as the jan transfer window is opening

If it's Davies then that could well mean our £2.5m Striker upset (Davies froze him out at the Sheep!) and the keeper who has kept us in touching distance not signed. (Davies didn't think he was good enough at the Sheep)
For me, I'm really not sure, nothing that's out there inspires me and that was the only thing that made me put up with Calderwood (even after Boxing Day)

I doubt it will be a young guy. I imagine we'll go for experience. I'm not a big fan of Curbs but he'd do a good job at our level. Davies would be another solid pick.
Of the young ones then I'd be happy with Keane or Ince.
