Mcaslan I think Spuzz and James Neil MOM. Neither confirmed yet, seems everyone up there is either too drunk or too hungover

Spoke to my mate who's up there, he's very drunk but still had the facts. James Neil MOM said he was fantastic! Lats night he wanted to get rid of Evan, tonight he wants to marry him, he said he was outstanding. Also said they were singing "we are top of the league, say we are top of the league" Haven't got the heart to text him yet?!?!
Cum on u mighty Panthers.

This is why I think 3pts for Regulation win is more appropriate. 3 of 4 was it? That would put us up there on top by now.

Any fights to night No Fights Despite some of the Panthers trying really hard. From Memory one for Diving and the other for Unsportsman. Not a bad game but last nights was better. I think most fans at the games will agree Capitals were robbed on both occasions. (tonights was such a blatent robbery But that was down to Staniforth)

(tonights was such a blatent robbery But that was down to Staniforth) Must be true, both refs favoured Panthers apparently and according to one Capitals fan, (Sabres 48 I think), all of the Panthers goals were lucky. They say you have no depth perception with only one eye.

That table is wrong. We are 4th on 5 points. Are you top? if so nice one. (I can say that as xmas is yet to come LOL) Mark, that last line had me in stitches, realy tickled me for some reason. Tim, spot on mate. That's how titles are won. A good weekend all round then, looking forward to our meet now! I for one hope you keep it up, nowt like a scrap for the top spot to re-ingnite the fire eh? (Assuming we continue to improve of course!)

Wow wow wow.... what a weekend. Got back at about 4.30 this morning, and like a true hardcore, back at work this morning!.
Both games were great games to watch, and had everyone on the edge of their seat. Panthers fans were great all weekend, and kept the noise up right behind ellis and his boys. Not a huge amount of us, i would say around 200 of us, however, on the saturday that was enough to outnumber the caps fans! Shaggy did his shiver, and did it well i might add... i love the fact everyone goes outside to warm up! Its difficult to celebrate goes there too if you have a waist size larger than 30 inches... it takes about 5 mins to prize your backside out of the seat.
Saturday... game was far far far to tight! I cant blame evan at all really, maybe 2 of the goals he could have done better on, but the rest, the D left him out to dry. One of the caps goals was a 3 on 1 with evan, he had no chance at all. I agree to some extent that we didnt deserve the win, the caps were very good, and for large spells dominated, but let that not take away from the grit and determination of the panthers squad, and if it wasnt for the pure passion from the players to get the shots on goal and get one of them in then we would not have won, as someone said earlier.... under blaiser we would have just rolled over and waved the white flag. Shmyr got MOM, but we all think it may have been a mistake and maybe the numbers were a bit mixed as everyone thought it was Macaslan.
Last night.... well.... different team, different mentallity. May look as though it was close, but dont forget edinburgh came out flying, knowing they can have one over on us, but at no point did we really look like losing the match. Evan stood on his head and really played a huge part in the win, he had a one on one breakaway, and the caps player Rajcek i think put a lovely deak on him, but evan managed to get his leg over the other side of the net to keep the puck out. James Neil..... the boy has magic about him, can everyone please note, james neil got MoM deservidly so, and he played unwell!!!! he had been having problems with his bloody sugar levels all day.... but he still played his share of ice time and was easilly the most impressive player out there. 3 times he nearly scored, one of the chances was pure fluke that it didnt go it, he rattled in one hell of a slap shot and it hit murphys shoulder as he was going down... poor kid. He borrowed my phone after the match to call his mum as his battery was flat, and he told her he got MoM, she turned around and said "so you played well then?" to which James turned around and said "no mum, i played crap they just gave it me for the fun of it!" Gotta love the kid. He was so proud to have got MoM, but was moaning like buggery that he didnt score, hes so hungry for that 1st goal. Macaslan... well.... he is awsome, really would like to see what him and Stevens could do together on the same line... Macaslan makes it look so easy, he really is one of our and the leagues superstars. Captain fantastic... putting the C on his shirt has done him the world of good... he is a leader and better than that he is leading by example! Another player with captain qualities.... Corey Neilson, real team player and real down to earth guy, when all the rubbish was kicking off when we had 6 men in the pen box, corey came straight over and told the boys to calm down, quite funny that Shmyr was spinning his towel around his head prettending to throw the towel in behind corey as he was trying to calm everyone down!
The refs..... not going to touch this topic... havent got the time or the patience.
Edinburgh... lovelly city, although most of us didnt see that much of it as on saturday we saw 3 of everything and on sunday we all spent the day holding our heads! A few comedy moment from the weekend - Jane sitting on the bus going to the rink, when a little 7 year old kid gets on the bus dressed as scooby doo, and she has a massive panic attack and starts crying... all weekend long we haunted her with the scooby doo theme tune... never heard of an irrational fear of scooby doo. Little Andy proving me wrong when i bet him a tenner that he couldnt crash a massive wedding party having their photo... he did it and got in the photo to.... even managed to congratulate the bride and groom! Myself making it all the way to the top of the stairs going to my seat but then falling all the way back down again. Lollipop managing to fall in to the bar everytime she came in
All in all a very good weekend, thanks to everyone that made it so.

The last time I went to Edinburgh the team was still called the Racers. Murrayfield doesn't seem to have changed one little bit since that time!
Saturday - now that's what I call entertainment! I real hark back to the good old days, some really exciting, end to end stuff. We were a little bit fortunate to get two points from it as in the second period we lost all cohesion and our defence seemed to disappear. I wouldn't really blame Lindsay for shipping five goals, as has already been said the defence left him out to dry sometimes and on some of goals there really wasn't anything that he could have done about it. Credit to the Panthers for battling back though (again). We really turned on the style in overtime to get the winner.
Sunday wasn't quite the same in terms of excitment value but it was still a very good game. Like Keefe says we seemed a lot more composed and a lot more organised than Saturday night. It still didn't prevent Edinburgh from causing a scare or two but even when they equalised late on I felt that we'd still win. Steve Simoes is turning out to be one heck of a player and McAslan and Clarke continue to impress. Special mention to James Neil, I say this often but we've got ourselves one heck of a player there.
Edinburgh have come on leaps and bounds since last season and will probably feel unlucky to come away from the weekend with only one point. All in all though the Panthers were really professional and did what it took.
Edinburgh's a really nice place to spend the weekend. We spent Sunday visiting a few of the local tourist attractions. Surreal moment of the weekend came in a pub while we were waiting for our dinner. I was wearing a Notts County shirt and an old man started talking to me who was convinced that I supported Hearts! Now, last time I checked Hearts played in a maroon and white shirt that in no way resembles our black and white stripes! Very peculiar incident.

Well, what a weekend! Im not going to decribe it again as Keefe did a very good job and i was with him for the majority of the time! I am however going to post some photos of the weekend! The weekend began with some beer and food in Greyfriers Bobby, i thought i knew the way and me and Ted argued about which way was the best way to go, we split into Team Cat and Team Ted and unfortunatly, Team Ted was right... he never shut up about it for the rest of the weekend.... this was the boys after the food and drink: also, Keefe was moaning about the no smoking indoors thing and we were talking and discovered that you cant smoke in anything with 3 sides so we stood in a triangle then got scared we were breaking the law... We then headed to the rink and this is when Little Andy decided to gatecrash the wedding! it was one of the funniest things i have ever seen in my life! Can't quite believe he did it!! The couple will be telling this story for years to come... 'remember when we got married and some nutter in a yellow jersey came and asked for a photo'?! Edinburgh doesnt seem to have normal windows as we saw this when we were on the bus theyve got the window propped open with a tin of beans!! At the match, Shaggy was as good as his word and did the sponsored shiver: Keefe tried to make it worse by throwing water on him!! After the match, we went to the bar and me and Jane decided the bar man was hot so we got really drunk on tequila to give us an excuse to keep going to the bar and talking to him! Highlight was when Jane said 'has anyone ever told you that you are cute?' and he said 'yeah, my girlfriend!!' ;D we then got more drunk and ended up somewhere then the lovely Karen (i know her surname used to be Ellis but i dont know it now shes married!) gave us a lift home.... i went to get ready for bed and came out of the bathroom and discovered Keefe and Ted sleeping like this: scarily, they were still in the same position in the morning!! The weather was goregous on saturday but we didnt get to edinburgh early enough to fully enjoy it and we were thinking that it was probably gonna be the same on sunday so we would just enjoy it then: ^this was the weather on sunday! Misty, foggy, rainy and gross!! but all in all, it was a fantatsic weekend and i would do it again in a second!!
