where have you heard this? And can you back this up. Also losing a one stone in six weeks very easy task to do.

I think this is complete rubbish.
If Jade was off the pace or visibly unfit then yeah maybe. BUt he scored two goals on his debut despite being jetlagged and came close last night.
If he needs to work on fitness, I am sure Corey will help him but I highly doubt his job is on the line.

I didn't think he looked that unfit really, like rob said, scored 2 on his debut after being in the country one day, can't comment on his performance last night as i wasn't there.

I thought his legs looked a little slow last night. There was a couple of times in the game when he was going for a 50/50 puck and didnt seem to have the energy to back check fast enough.

He looks like a chubby lad because he has a round face and big build but I think his fitness and 'extra stride' will come when hes settled in, not because he has to lose a stone! Dont forget, hes still effectively in pre season due to his late arrival

Not saying this is true, but he looks either very lazy or very unfit sometimes. Slow behind the play, or simply doesn't look botherd.

For a decent player (and a new boy at that), Galbraith seems to be coming in for an awful lot of cheap criticism on the Cage. Lazy, fat ... what next? Stupid?

I think hes a natural goalscorer, just looking how he executed those two goals against the caps, I say put him with Molin and Tessier ;D

We were on our way out after training last night and the Panthers were just coming in. I walked past Galbraith and can honesty say the guy is NOT fat. If Corey was worried about his work rate or size he would not of signed him.
If you look at the board outside the locker room, you can see Corey only wants athletes, men who want to be in the best shape possible and that is a testment to Jade.
Jade is an important peice of the puzzle and seems to be a very good player with very good pedigree. So what if he hits his stick on the board, it shows he cares.
The fact that the OP hasn't bothered posting on this thread since starting it (despite posting elsewhere) shows it was pants then and it's pants now.
If anyone (OP included) has an issue with Jade or Corey selecting him on the team, there is a meet the player night tomorrow at Stadium Leisure, feel free to come and share your thoughts with them both.

Well that well and truely throws down the gauntlet. I look forward to the official response on this one.

Must say I have heard that he has been told he needs to lose weight, but not heard he'd be gassed if he doesn't. Also the weight I was told was a few pounds, so my guess is it might be more like half a stone or less.

It's not unusual for players to start the season a few pounds overweight, and for them to take time to lose it as they get back to match fitness. I'm sure that there's plenty of people on here that know there's a difference between being fit, and being match-fit.

TBF i corey has said this to galbraith i would think he's a little harsh. I know neilson is big on fitness but i just think that jade is chubby in the face. I think what got to be remembered is that jade has only played 4 games this season so weight that he might of put on over the summer will be lost when he's used ot training and playing more. I think tessier is bigger than galbraith myself but thats my own personal opinion.

IF this is true he just needs to do the Atkins diet for 2 weeks! Easy! I lost a stone in 2 weeks on it and if I can i'm sure a pro athelete can!
