Apparently the bloke Khan was fighting has gone 19 fights undefeated with 17 knockouts.
Guess Khan is nowhere near as good as he thought he was.

Ditto.... we listened to it in the car on the way back. Panthers win, steelers lose, Amir Khan gets battered. Great night had by all.

Totally agree mate, I've never liked him one tiny little bit He was basically Nasim all over again and looked how that ended, the guys now 4ft tall and 6ft wide I said all along (don't mean to sound cocky but it's true!!) that Khan didn't have the chin for it, quite simply future world champs don't get knocked down by fighters like Will Lymond

I'm in agreement with you all, although i wanted a mexican to show him the matt. Thos mexican light and middleweight know how to fight.
Next on my list is Hamilton, his arragance annoys me now. No doubt the guy can drive but the im the best attitude gets to me!

Watched it live on Sky. Was dissapointed with both Khan, & Audley Harrison. But the WBO fight sandwiched between those too was a class fight. I think the problem with Khan (Like soooo many fighters) is they think they are better than they actually are. I love Carl Froch, but he again is another who falls into this trap.

I think Khan's cockiness is mainly down to Warren, afterall i'd be pretty cocky if i was 21 and 18 fights undefeated. If Warren had got him some proper fights and not just easy fights that would boost Khans credibility and popularity, then he wouldn't be seen as cocky and would be more liked overall. Dont get me wrong he is a good talent (despite his chin), he showed that in Athens, but being pampered like Warren hasn't done his career any good at all in the long run.

What the hell has this got to do with his boxing career?? And does that also mean that Lewis Hamilton has no respect for others and should be in a car accident or something?

sorry i didn't really put my point across very well i meant his generally cockiness/attitude was evident in his driving as he was caught speeding twice i believe caused injury to someone else and then just went out and bought another supercar, a bit of humility never hurt anyone,
As for gobbing off, i know all fighters do but i feel khan was over confident going into the fight, whereas prescott went about his business and delivered the result.

Should've stuck with the amateur game, probably be Olympic champion by now. He'll never amount to anything on the pro stage, looked ropey against Gomez.

Khan can still win the world title.
Meanwhile he can keep his gym going to help keep kids of the street. He can continue to talk to the muslim community to help heal race relations and keep them away from fanatics. And he can keep trying to win fights cheered on by thousands of British fans.
What a piece of garbage he is.
Let's hope Murray loses tonight. And Hamilton loses the F1 too.

he is not the only person in the world to be attempting to improve the image of a religion.
Yes he is keeping kids of the streets and out of trouble yet he breaks the law himself!?!
He is not a piece of garbage those were your words not mine
All i am happy about is an overconfident, cocky loudmouth (on the boxing scene) got his comeuppance from a better fighter.

Finally got what was coming to him in my view, showed he had a suspect chin in the previous fight and up against a bloke who had 17 KO's in 19 bouts proved a step too far for him.
As said in previous post's Amir falls into that category of overly arrogant fighters who ride on the back of hype created by press and promoters alike. I think he's shown the level he's at right now and knows he'll have to work hard to get back in the frame for a title shot.
Time will tell with Khan, as it will with Froch but one's things for sure, he just got a massive reality check - maybe he isn't as good as he thinks he is

I do hope Amir stays right awayfron Hatton. I appreciate there would be a great pay day in it for Amir but fighting such a popular guy could cost him money in the long run.
Hatton should really retire.
