Is this actually a rumour or just some random speculation?

Random speculation but in thinking about it...Steelers need an enforcer who can score goals and Shmyr did score a couple of important ones last season, against the steelers funnily enough, I doubt you can rule this one out though.

There are hundreds of players that can't be ruled out. This thread is only slightly less pointless than all those threads started whenever Neilson added someone as a friend on facebook.

You can certainly rule this one out. Steelers are looking for a topline centre (or 2nd line if 'sick-note' Legue moves onto the 1st line), or a 4th D-man. Shymr is neither of those by any stretch of the imagination. Looking at the rosters so far, I really cant see, apart from Belfast where there is a place for him. HL

Thread title got me worried! Me too Although Shmyr would undoubtedly bring us some versatility, I think we need someone who is capable of scoring/creating more than Shmyr. If we signed Shmyr I could see us replacing him by Christmas.....With Matty probably following not far behind. Regards Doom

HL from what i have heard they are looking through the 2nd a 3rd divisions in eastern Europe as they are very short of money for there last two players

Love it how Matty is claiming he'll have the best D in the league..once again, only speculation though and we wont know anything until september.

These 2 signings are the make or break for us I reckon. Manzano was a very steady Dman, not flashy, but did the little things right. The D man has to be an upgrade or its been a worthless exercise.
The forward needs to be big and tough, but no goon. Gotta be able to put up points! Deschatelets please!
