Chris - Glad you enjoyed it mate, you are more than welcome.
Can I just say how proud I was of everyone (Stix and Knights) for what was a great game to take part in.
Thanks to Rich for the great coaching advice.
Thanks also to Pete and Becky for keeping everyone in check.
Looking forward to the next leg in so many ways. I can't believe how much fun it was out there.
Thanks again.

I really enjoyed that and I'm sure I'llnever forget the night i took part in a Nottingham victory over Sheffield Thanks to Rob, Kev and Andy for sorting this out. Thanks to Chris for the banter out on the ice Well done to the Stix Thanks to all players who played the game in the spirit intended and thanks to Rich for ensuring we got the basics right. Those words of wisdom between periods were important and definately had an effect on the outcome of the game. That was so much fun and I'd happily do it all again tomorrow. I look forward to the 2nd game up in Sheffield Stix Knights

Well done guys you were a real credit to yourselves tonight. I was knackered coaching it, I played every single pass and took every single shot with you!
Every single player on the team is a better player now than they were 5hours ago. I wont single out guys for praise, the whole team could have got man of the match
One very proud coach!
PS ZF: Final score Nottingham 6-0 Sheffield

I have to say that #72 is a dirty player, I have an incredibly bad bruise on my right arm this morning ;D Nah seriously once, you guys settled down after using up all your energy on the first 2 shifts, after which I could barely breathe, I actually proper enjoyed myself. And better yet we managed to stop said dirty #72 from scoring Thanks for making it happen guys... see you all in 3 weeks time.

Well done guys!!! So what did Rich say that was so amazing then Score and I'll give you a pint Only messing! Becky, I have a phobia about blowing my whistle, so I doubt I'll be that good at all! I've done it once and never again! One Russian guy dumped the puck in the zone, but I was in the way... It hit me on the waist really hard... and this arm came from behind (on the bench) and started rubbing me better! It was very nice of him, but I could have got him done for abuse of official! I try and avoid it now. Think I'm going to miss the second leg too sadly! But if any of you's want to play any teams down here, make a weekend of it, I can give you contacts of several teams. The Streatham Cheifs are one of the best rec teams around if you feel up to the challenge The London Legion would give both the Experienced guys and Beginners a good game. So are we having any socials anytime soon?

Great game last night. I really enjoyed playing. Roll on the return game. And by the way, did anyone get any photos last night? If so, I think they should post them on here for those that didn't make it
