No we were too busy trying to keep dry on land never mind getting wet in the surf. Was a good try out for our new motorhome though, very pleased with the results of the fuel costs. Cant wait now to take it to Edinburgh during the season.

Chucked it down on my recent visit to Kendal - made all the worse by the b&b owner informin me that they had only had 3 days of rain since Easter!!! Typical that it rained so much we even had a severe weather warning when I was there?! Weather was nothing like as bad as forecast thankfully - some heavy showers but kitted out in waterproofs so no problems. A great day riding over beaches, dunes, salt marsh, fell and fields - gallop after gallop, boy are those horses fit! ;D Smile never left my face all day. Hang in there! (or "hang on there" might be a more appropriate encouragement! ;D) I know the feeling - I only started riding eighteen months ago and they say learnings not so easy once you've past forty... My balance is reasonable on big (wide) horses but I've struggled on the small narrow variety (my only falls were from a small horse). Certainly getting a better seat these days though and despite being fearless in the early days, have lacked confidence when jumping in recent months. Have to set up the Block 13 riding club

Message for Higgy here....... Watch the Mozzies in Menorca. We got back on 27th June and were bitten to pieces. My last count was 40 bites. I took some Boots spray along which was big pants!! Buy some Citronella stuff on the island or buy some Autan (sp?) from Boots (also available on the island) On the plus side though, amazing weather - 30+degrees every day. I didnt even see a Mozzie lol i couldnt believe it, no bites.

Have to set up the Block 13 riding club Oi - I'm not a permanent member up in the Gods of block 13 you know - am much happier down in my ST seat on row C - where you don't need oxygen after climbing all those steps to get to your seat!!! ;D

Just got back from my week in Cornwall. Stayed in a mate's superb caravan on the Lizard. Great weather all week. Great food and beer. Came back really chilled. ;D

Well, not sure if right place to put this but here goes!!
I am (hopefully) off to NY in November to see the Sens play the Rangers on a monday night. However, on the Sat night I have the choice of going to MSG (again), going to see NJ Devils at home or going to see the super Sens @ the Islanders. My questions is this, Given I am staying @ a hotel near Times Sq how easy is it to get to the Prudential Center or the Nassau Coliseum by public transport

I went to Prague for four days a few weeks ago, and as per my previous visit last October, it was absolutely fantastic. If anyone is going, don't buy into the misconception that it's dirt cheap, as it isn't.
Try to avoid drinking & eating at the tourist locations, and your Czech crowns will go much much further.

Florida a couple of years back.... Weather was great, loads to do .... Hire a car though. Public transport is non existent. Trouble is, food wise, everything is so processed. You never feel like you are eating anything healthy. meals in restaurants all are identical... but again everyone is really really freindly... and Maccy Ds has MASSIVE portions. You must have been eating in the wrong places. We're going again this year, never had any problems eating fairly healthily. I never go to Maccy D's in the US, largely because I've not travelled 5000 miles to eat in places we have over here. Try Denny's for breakfast (approx $8 per person,) which usually fills you up well, then dinner around 8pm. Best place we found was Black Angus Steak House, absolute bargain (starter, main, beer approx $15 each.) If you want a treat try Mortons Steak House, for 2 of us, we didn't have much change from $150 USD (and that was only for beers and main courses) but it is well worth the money. So looking forward to it, already got theme park tickets (6 park Orlando ticket £133 each,) not decided on Disney for this year yet, got tickets to the Tampa Bay Rays vs Boston Red Sox booked, and waiting for tickets for the Lightning against the Pens and Rangers to go on sale. **edit** you're never too old for Disney World, we went last year, it had been 15 years since I'd been, not sure about Jono, but you gotta go.... Best part about Disney last year was having Uma Thurman sat at the table next to us at the Italian restaurant near the entrance to Magic Kingdom ;D ;D ;D

It was simple, just ask like we did and it was much cheaper than the bus too and took half the time!! Just follow the jerseys when you get there as they lead you to the Prudential Centre which is fab!! Finally felt really safe making these trips as its something we've never done before. Hope this helps and enjoy!!
