Get pucks and EVERYONE take a dark and a light shirt. If you dont take one of each dont moan when you get put on a team you dont want or have to turn your shirt inside out. Pucks are more important than bibs! This man speaks sense. CCM white practice jersey are £10-£15 depending on where you buy. I personally bought a NY Islanders jersey for £10 off the web. I also acquired a white Sokol Kiev jersey and payed a £10er for NY Rangers centre ice practice jersey. It don't have to be flashy or expensive, just the right colour. Bibs are a waste of time. I'm all for the pucks idea.

I think the extra pucks are a good idea too. Just to diversify a bit, has anyone lost a black sock/stocking at sunday's session? When I unloaded my kit I found I had 3, but I only went with 2!

ooorrrrrrr spend the £16 on bibs, and then everyone who was going to spend £15 on a jersey go buy pucks with that instead.
20 Players £15 Each = £300 Puck 0.85p 352 Pucks, Plenty then.
.....or would that be to many?!?!

Lol nice post Starr, real sense spoken there!
Bibs suck. I aint wearing something that looks stupid and doesnt fit anyone not "average" size because people cant be bothered to have a light and dark shirt as agreed in the early days!

bibs fit me fine....
But yes bibs are stupid..... everyone just buy a dark and light (or at least a reversible) jersey.
try to avoid inbetweeny colours.... theres loads of blue and yellow who sometimes end up as lights, sometimes as darks....

Black and white works perfect, I can bring an away panthers jersey and a black jersey aswell as an avalance jersey if anyone ever needs to borrow one. We should sort it out in the changing rooms too so we arent faffing around come game time and wasting valuable ice time. Thats my .2cents anyway.
352 pucks eh?
I'm not collecting all them in.

The only black and white jerseys I have are euro ones! :-( Right, I don't see the problem there... I bought the white Knights jersey because I only have 2 whites jerseys, one of which is a bit small. I'm not short of black jerseys that fit me. I've normally got a black and a white shirt in my bag so if anyone is ever short then just shout up. Bibs dont fit me either but if people are genuinely short of shirts, I've a feeling bib are like 50p each in sports soccer/decathlon and so we should agree 2 colours to accomodate everyone. That way we can still roll with darkshirt vs lightshirt but say darkshirts have a green bib for those who have no blackshirt and lightshirts have a yellow bib for those who dont have a light shirt.

Nah, ban bibs altogether. If people only have one shirt, as Martin says just shout up. I point blank refuse to wear a bib to play hockey, its impossible for a guy my size! Its not that uncomfortable but very restrictive. Anymore bib talk and we will just drill for the entire session

Have a great time guys, listen to what you are taught but keep it fun.
Dont be scared of falling over, especially the newbies. Youll learn a lot more when you know where your limits are
