Cannot see that seeing as that is exactly what Lewis is being called after winning it just once in a brit car, ok schuey won so many times again once or twice partisan decisions for ferrari then, also the blatant running someone of the track seems to has passed you by, he was a good driver but was he a sportsman? The two times (I can think of in recent times) that someone ran on track Rubens won. Once from 18th on the grid in Germany(which, oddly I predicted before the race he would win if it was wet /dry), and once passing the top drivers at Siverstone. Good days! Was schuey a good 'sport' - well, barring the JV incident, he was hard but fair - which is what you have to be to be successful. Lewis just needs to find the limit, which he will do in time. F1 has been more exciting in the last couple of years, but it was never boring.

Because there have been more battles throughout the field - not just the big three - Reno, Red Bull, Toyota, Williams and Torro Rosso - the order almost changed every race at times - while those battles existed, it has never been to that extent. Because of the politics and the controversy (I love that side of the sport). Because of the new personalities coming through - Lewis, Vettel, Kubica especially. Because Piquet was rubbish. Because Silverstone and Monaco were truely awesome drives from Lewis. Because the championship took so many twists and turns, and just when you thought it had finished, gave you another one. And yes, because there have been more winners than in the past - 7 in one season, I suspect is a record. 2008 was, undoubtdly the best F1 season of all time (well, since Senna v Prost anyway) This year I fell back in love with motor racing - back in the day I would watch anything - F3, Champcar, F1, F3000, Touring Cars, GTs, anything. This season, I pretty much did that again, so alot of the excitement came from other series as well - watching Senna win again at Monaco is one of my sporting highlights of the year, along with Rubens at Silverstone, the All Blacks beating Oz in the tri-nations decider, Vipers v Giants playoff quarter finals, Usain Bolt, Wimbledon final, Emms and Robertson's 1st round in the Olympics (the forgotten gem of Beijing), GB's domination at the World Cup cycling in Manchester, and those last few minutes of Forest v Derby.

Not really. Prime example is the SPL. You might as well leave the league title in Glasgow because every year it is going to be passed between the two clubs up there. And having Scottish friends, with them saying exactly the same thing (both Celtic fans), surely that voids that statement. If you say so, but you can make the same comparison with Premiership footie, chances are Manchester Untied are going to be challenging for the league & have been doing so pretty much every season since 1992. Does it mean that each season has been boring? I don't think so, and it's up to the chasing pack, be it football clubs or F1 teams to catch up. Just because some of your friends think Scottish football is boring isn't the same as infering, or indeed believing, that had F1 been dominated by a British driver would result in F1 fans dubbing the sport boring, even by British F1 fans themselves. I watched the Brazilian GP at the Skydome two weeks ago, and when Hamilton won the entire place erupted. Were they all McLaren fans, doubtful. Were they all Hamilton fans, same answer. Did the vast majority want him to win solely because of his nationality, probably.

Back on slicks next year, with no soft compound tyre to change to.

Schumacher was a great driver, Lewis is a good one, but no doubt has the potential to be a great one in time. If you're going to question Schumacher's sportsmanship, then surely you have to question that of Hamilton? You yourself have stated that Lewis has characteristics seen in Schumacher, ie cockiness & over-confidence. ?

Hill made a stupid lunge when there was no need. Fantastic news that slicks are back - best news for ages. Senna 0.6 seconds quicker than Di Grassi (and just 0.3 secs slower than Jenson) in the pre-season test. Senna did less laps too. Incredible to thinnk he has just 4 seasons racing, and he has got here.

selected recall rangers! who had most to gain from hill being run off the track, got to say Hill was generally very calculated with his moves, have to say though cheering when MS hit the tyres was a little bit harsh in a later race, unless they thought his missed someone that time?
Compare that to last race easiest thing in the world for Lewis to put massa off the track assuming he got close to him, but did he, no he ran the race fair and que sara, que sara kicked in! He didnt fluke it you cannot fluke it over a season he put himself in a position to win it and won it, close run thing but no different than mr Charisma winning it the year before i reckon!
As for F1 got a piquet, maybe got a senna, got a rosberg has prost got any drivers in his family?

I think Damon and Mansell have kids racing in lower formulae - but I think one of them (hill, i think) was in the ginettas so probably heading down the tin-top route. Obviously Nakajima in F1 as well.

If the young Senna races even half as good as his uncle, we are all in for a real treat. I'm happy with most if not all the changes to the cars this coming season. Slick tyres have been a must for awhile, so glad they are back I can see Renault, BMW definatly pushing Mclaren and Ferrari all the way next season, with the lieks of torro rosso and toyota also there abouts. Wouldnt suprise me to see a stronger honda and red bull team too. Man things are actually shaping quite nicely for another great season ahead. Cant wait.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7745347.stmThe full BBC F1 lineup. Brundle, Legard, DC, Jordan all good. However, it aint difficult to work out how DC got the job. David calls Manager: 'So i quit driving, ITV have gone, what do we do next?' Manager: 'Well I got a job on BBC commentating. Dunno about what you could do.' David: 'Erm... Martin, any chance of gettin me a job at the Beeb?' Manager: 'I'll put in a word...' (for those that don't know, Martin Brundle was DC's manager) Ted Kravitz, however, is an idiot. Who should not have got the job. Even worse appointment than Humphreys. Even worse appointment than... anyone. Ever. The guy thought McLaren sending Heikki out on slicks while Lewis was on wets was a piece of genius. Despite it going on since about... whenever wets and slicks were introduced. I HATE TED KRAVITZ!

Why oh why can't they bring back Tony Jardine?! He was really knowledgeable - with this line up a bit of intellect wouldn't go amiss... Great to see Murray's gettin back in on the act. Bless 'im.

Tony Jardine was good on the beeb, but on ITV he didn't come acrss well, mainly because of chief idiot rosental and Simon Taylor - who while he knows a lot about the sport, is a bit irritating. But I'm not sure where Jardine would fit in - DC and EeeJay are fair enough analyists (thank god 'state the obvious' Blundell is gone) and jardine aint a presenter.
What confuses me is why they get rid of Louise Goodman, but keep Ted Kravitz.

Honda selling up - for £1 - or out of F1 by March. Where that leaves Jense, and more importantly Ross Brawn, I don't know - but Autosport reporting that Ross is talking to ferrari about an engine supply should investors arrive.
Bad news for F1 if Honda go - Toyota and Williams will not be far behind,

What I want to know is why they are blaming it on the financial crisis. If it was that bad, pull the Moto GP team as well. Oh, wait, hang on. They are winning, and are loaded with sponsors. Honda F1 have been looking for a way to pull out of F1 since they lost the BAT money, as seen by their lack of sponsors, and lack of any sort of committment.

We may get some common-sense used with the spending this season, they are all feeling the pinch it seems!
