Milan have pleaded innocence but Juve have already said they will take whatever punishment is dished out to them which is as good as an admission.

This is pretty huge really, there are so many gangs in italian football teams with a lot of power, it wont be straight forward!
Not good for the teams involved!

I expect only Juve to drop a league. The other 3 will be deducted points and none will play European football next season. Inter may well be awarded Juve's last two Scudettos! That'd be harsh punishment to all parties. Juve will have a firesale with only Del Pierro sure to stay. Cannavaro may stay too. EPL clubs will be looking for some bargains with Buffon already linked to Arsenal. If Milan do go down then tranx prices will crash across Europe this Summer. How bad is £5.5m for Heskey when you may get a Trezeguet or the like for the same money?

Scumbags, the lot of them. There is one word to describe Italian football at the moment:
Disgraceful.

They can't relegate the other 3. What Juve did was match-fix for 2 seasons. If you relegate Milan then proportionately you'd have to relegate Juve to pub football. Juve's crimes are so much worse than the others that I can only see Juve going down.
Still will mean no Euro football for Milan for next season and - thanks to the points deduction -probably the one after

According to reports emerging from Italy, Juventus have been relegated to Serie B with a 15-points deduction for their part in the match-fixing scandal. Lazio & Fiorentina will also be demoted, while AC Milan will stay in Serie A but not take part in the Champions league.

Juventus relegated to Serie B and start with a THIRTY point handicap...also stripped of titles in 2005 and 2006 and banned from playing in champions league next year
Lazio relegated to Serie B and start with a 7 point handicap same European punishment in UEFA cup
Fiorentina relegated to Serie B and start with 12 point deduction and again banned from Europe next season
AC Milan stay in Serie A but deducted 15 points....also arent allowed to play in Champions league

So Milan survive but start with a 15 point deduction
Fiorentina relegated to serie B with a 12 point deduction
Lazio the same as Fiorentina with a 7 points deduction
but Juve are hit the hardest
They are relegated to the serie B with a massive 30 deduction and stripped of their last 2 titles.
All 4 teams kicked out of europe next season
It seems there could be a quiet considerable amount of italians winging their way over here.

Now I might have got the wrong end of the stick here, but this match fixing trial was an 'independant' Italian government investigation,am I right?
One of the leading figureheads in Italian politics is/was none other than Silvio Berlusconi. The same Signor Berlusconi who just happened to be a former president of AC Milan. Is it merely co-incidence that AC are the only one of the 4 to retain their Serie A status?
Someone feel free to corect me if I'm wrong here as I openly admit that I do not know the facts.
15 points should be do-able for AC with the other major threats out of the equation, if not for champions league 2007-08 but a UEFA place.
Also with Juve being stripped of their last 2 scudetto I assume they have been awarded to Internazionle as the were runners up in both said seasons?

I think that the scudetto is going to be now null and void for the last two seasons and it will go down as 'no winner'

Disappointed about Lazio's fate, but all 4 clubs will appeal. The punishment for Juve is very heavy!

It's no SB's political influuence that has got them off; it is his media influence. He made it clear that his media companies would not re-new the big money deal if Milan went down. So they haven't! These judgements are awful. No way should Lazio and Fiorentina get almost as much penalty as Juve. I expect them to appeal and end up with a point deduction but back in Serie A. Juve will appeal but they know they should be happy with the outcome. Should've been worse. Inter will fight for the two Scudettos but I suspect they won't get them. They should win it next season with only Roma to stop them.

So SB had some influence somewhere down the line, however small?
No real surprise that SB 'flexed his muscles' shall we say?

Disagree about Inter. Admitedly with a slight degree of bias against them.
I would honestly say that pound for pound AC are better than Inter all things being equal. The only factor going against AC this season aside from the points docking is no Champions league football. I would expect most players to stay with AC thus giving them a viable shot at a Euro-qualifying position at the end of the season.
AS Roma would be my tip for the scudetto this season with both Milan teams also up there.
