Broad gone. Valuable knock though. Need Moeen to give it some tap now and push the lead up over 150 and hopefully towards 200. Well done Logan..... No worries

Steven Finn is running riot in their 2nd innings! Four big wickets as Aus slump to 92-5! Just need to get Warner out now!
Come on England!

We'll have to bat again, Nevill and Johnson stop the procession a little. Anderson off injured, "tight side".

Hazelwood gone! Aus 245-9, lead by 104 runs. Umpires also doing their best to keep the convicts in it too!

Decent effort from their tail to at least give England something to do, looked like an innings defeat at one point yesterday.

Lyth out cheaply again. Had more than enough chances for me and shown very little.

Another 50 for Bell, will do his confidence no harm at all.

Two 50's in a low scoring match are very handy, valuable runs. Well done to Ian Bell under pressure.

We could win the Ashes at Trent Bridge!
Late on Sunday would be nice as I'm there for days 3 and 4.

So - bearing in mind how much stick the convicts gave Stuart Broad over not walking in the last series over here - what about Peter Nevill then?
Nicks one behind and doesn't walk, given not out. Then nicks another one behind and is given out, then reviews it in the vain hope that hotspot hasn't detected the nick.
I have no problem with players not walking no matter who they play for. But bearing in mind they are the biggest nation of non-walkers on the planet, it's massive hypocrisy if they are going to pile into SB the way they did, whilst accepting Nevill's actions. Then again it is the Aussies after all so I shouldn't really be too surprised.

No better time to get him in Looks like Lyth gets another chance! Liam Plunkett and Mark Footitt added to cover for Anderson and Wood:- m.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/33747185

Gonna cost Edgbaston a fortune this one. It certainly would have done if it hadn't gone into the third day. They are insured for loss of days 4 and 5, but this probably doesnt include revenue from refreshments.

There aren't that many viable options to Lyth. One I liked at Trent Bridge was Malan - actually born in England, but then educated in South Africa. Lees should be making progress, but hasn't produced a huge flow of runs.

4th test down at the bridge.
England win toss and put the convicts in.
15-4 early doors. Not a bad old start.
