You could see Arsenal running out of steam, Henry looked knackered! having said that he had 2 clear cut chances i would have backed him to score. The ref ruined the game for sure and on top of that he seemed to punish the gooners for everything and let Braca get away with everything....Henry's yellow card was a joke he won the ball fair and square!. Agreed. Henry won the ball a good second before the Barca player got to him and fell theatrically over his leg. Not even a foul, much less a card. There were several incidents like this as well, where a player won the ball and was penalised. The officials were awful. Arsenal's goal came from a free kick where the player was hardly touched, the first Barca goal may have been offside, should have played the advantage and let Barca's goal stand rather than sending off Lehmann.... Would have been very interesting at 11 v. 11. Even from 1-0 down, Arsenal could still have won it and it would have been much better as a spectacle as well. Having said all that, Arsenal's organisation and resolution in defence was exemplary until they ran out of steam. They even created the two best chances of the second half (Ljungberg and Henry) and could have had a second. A lesson for England, who normally try and sit back on slender leads in World Cup matches...

Thats one of the reason I like him. It doesn't matter that it was the biggest game in Club football, he just loves playing football and could laugh at things like that.

What would Gooners rather have? Arsenal lose and Henry stay or Arsenal win and Henry go? Henry will announce whether he's staying or not after the match. Apparently he's staying. Henry decided to stay a few weeks back. He gave it away on the last day of the season when he said, 'we haven't made the Champs League yet and have to ensure that WE win the qualifying games next season. Great that he's staying. Arsenal should retire his shirt when he leaves.

Sunbeam, give him a testimonial sure, but don't retire his shirt. It's not a football thing to do.

Sunbeam, give him a testimonial sure, but don't retire his shirt. It's not a football thing to do. Why not? We have squad numbers now so it is possible? Argentina have effectively retired the #10 shirt and Meelan are retiring Maldini's. Arsenal should retire the #14 shirt.

They won't do it unless in exception circumstances. If he died they might.
The reason. American squad numbers usually go up to 100, Football squad numbers go to 50. There is more room for numbers in American team hence why they can afford to make 1-10 unavailable.

Arsenal have actually retired a number. Number 6 for Tony Adams, One guy who should have his number retired is the 'high flying dutch delight' Dennis Bergkamp

For instance the QB wears the low figure numbers which means there is a potential for restriction. Then you get instances like James wears the #23 for the Cavs. I guess that rules him out of ever joining Chicago Bulls. In a way it is easier for football to retire shirts as you don't have shirts already retired. Also it is unusual for a player to stay at a team for a long time, unlike in America, so the tribute would mean more. Of course some shirts can't be retired now. #7 at Man Utd or Liverpool for instance. I'm not sure Newcastle would retire the #9 shirt now. Even for Shearer. I would like to see Forest retire the #3 shirt.

But to my knowledge, it's a Canadian/American game by heritage? I don't think anyone can honestly state where the game truely comes from. There are 16th Century Dutch paintings of people playing a game on a frozen canal with hockey-esque sticks. There's also the Dutch word " hokkie." I remember reading somewhere that the game originated here in England, but was then taken to North America where it developed into the game we know today...? I can't find that article though

I can't find that article though You are correct but it is generally regarded that the game as it is recognised today originated in Montreal which was were the first formal 'Ice Hockey' rules were published. There have been many influences on the game from all over the world. If it helps I got this information from Homes of British Ice Hockey.
