If you listen whats being said it sounds like it isn't as bad as feared.
He gets injured in central London just a few miles from some of thet best doctors in the world and yet he was see getting on the bus to go back to Manchester NOT hospital.
Everything thats come out is people suggesting he isn't too bad, Quiroz, Joe Cole, Ferguson. It's a "yes he's injured let's just wait and see" but thats a fairly predictable response.
I'm not too worried although earlier I was seriously concerned.

If he doesn't play, our World Cup chances go with him.

THE BLOODY METATARSAL.
Every time we come up to a flaming tournament the most accursed of all bones decides it wants to get its moment of fame.
I can't believe that stupid piece of bone is in on the action AGAIN.
Let's hope Rooney's a quick healer.

That harsh i am biased i won't deny it but i have watched him in more games than you this season as a result of that bias. He holds the ball up well he has great vision but mot of all he doesn't suffer from lack of confidence. Yeah he doesn't score as much as he should, but he held together a very shaky Liverpool team at the start of the season and as many central defenders who have played with him have stated he is a nightmare to play against. He is something different. Where England have gone wrong in the past is by taking a group of similar strikers to the world cup. They are generally small, fast and natural goal scorers so who do you throw on when Micheal Owen cant solve a team, a player just like him. This year Sven is taking options and that is why Peter is going he is something different.

Sorry Crouch is about as good as a lamp post.. He also looks like one!

If tats what you think then thats what you think buthe has been more effective than some of our squad this year. At the same time though he is no Rooney or Owen.

He wouldn't have been called up to play for his country otherwise.

Come off it, Crouch is useless for the national side. Watch what he does in the next England match please and then consider what he does Typically now this means he will finally perform as an English international in the next game meaning that post is subject to be deleted

look at the top 3 English Goal scorers (strikers that is) EXCLUDING Owen and Rooney
Bent 18 Harewood 14 James Battie 11
and Crouch has only 7 league goals this year and 5 in cup and europe games, so does his offer? Also Crouch has better player to create more so he scores easier goals than Bent, Harewood and Beattie. Also falls over everything, looks like Hermin Munster his got no pace no vison. Like the post about a lamp post Shea, althoguh Lamp posts do their job properley

If I moaned with silly comments comparing someone to a Lamppost them maybe so. At the end of the day it's irrelevent what you or i or anyone things of Crouch because the sad state of affairs is, apart from Owen and Rooney, we don't have any top class players who are good enough to make an impact on the world cup. and it's because of the lack of quality that a player like crouch is likely to be in the England squad. He brings something that no one else does. The likes of Defoe and Vassell are better players than Crouch IMO but they are too similar to Owen and Rooney so if those two aren't getting us the goals then we need something different.
