Newcastle certainly have the most deluded fans around. They seem to think they are a big club when they blatantly aren't and never have been!

Newcastle have excellent fans that will support their fans through thick and thin. Easily the most passionate supporters in the Premiership

Without wishing to sound like I'm saying "I know better than you" until you've lived in Newcastle you're not speaking with a full picture.
Having lived in Nottingham, Newcastle and Birmingham and spent a lot of time in Liverpool too Newcastle fans win hands down, they are totally insane and the most passionate I've ever seen anywhere, support their team through the good times and the bad and are a league above IMO.

Liverpool have the best fans in the premiership though.........closely followed by pompey I beg to differ i'd say Newcastle have the best fans in the league by a long way! Absolute nonsense! I really hate it when people say this. Cast your minds back to the early 90's. Newcastle are in the second division and struggling and averaging 12,000 a game. Where were the wonderful fans then? I think the words 'band' and 'wagon' come into effect here. I'm not suggesting we're the best by any means but we had 28k against Yeovil the other week, and we're in Division 3. Even when we were garbage we were averaging 20k. That's phenomenal. This team has so much potential. Portsmouth fans are crap too. They were averaging a little over 10k when they were in division 2. Now their fans get on board... Liverpool fans are scum (in the main) and don't deserve any respect from fellow English football fans. I have massive respect for Man City fans, as i do West Ham.

True that graffiti is sick, but that's only a percentage of Liverpool fans. Off the top of my head I know 8 Liverpool fans, and none of them find the Munich disaster remotley funny.

Agree with what Dan says about Newcastle fans. Part of their failures are down to their attitude. Just ask some of their former bosses.
You can't generalise about fans, though. Man U fans from Manchester tend to be infinitely better than the rest of ManU fans. City fans have been very loyal but they can't sell-out anymore.

When i was saying about best fans in the Premiership i wasnt refering to average attendaces i was on about how they support their teams in matches, i love Liverpool with all the flags and 'You'll never walk alone' sends shivers down my spine, Pompey are LOUD even if they are losing 4-0, they never stop chanting.

Pompey are loud and sporting. They've given Henry a standing OV at Fratton after Arsenal demolished them. But Pompey benefit from an old ground. What will it be like after the redevelopment has finished? Of course they are years behind schedule! Great atmosphere = St Andrew's.

Never seen so many generalisations in all my life (Newham).
I support Liverpool and have been to many matches including the one in Istanbul and you wanna hear support. Support when your team 3-0 down at half time against arguably the best team in the world. Being part of a crowd singing we are going to win 4-3 is something I will never forget, and we all know how that turned out.
Again, the night against Chelski in the Semi Finals when Garcia scored that controversial goal. I have never felt a ground shake before.
I think you have your generalisation the wrong way round, the majority of Liverpool fans are good people who support a good team. They (myself included) hate part of their history and have gone lengths to try to make up for it. Case in point all the intra-fan activity when we played Juve last season, all because of their history. I spoke to some Juve fans after that game and they were so touched (most of them) and told us to ignore the idiots who didn't like it.
I do agree with you on one thing though Newham and that is about Newcastle fans. A ground with their capacity should be rocking, but they don't. I went to the Newcastle/Fulham game earlier this season. I was sat with the home fans and the place was like a morgue until NZogbia scored an equaliser at about 80 mins. Then the place came alive, but for 80 mins before, Fulham fans out-sung the home fans to shame.
I like hearing Man City & Middlesborough fans the most, going from past experience, as well as our own. But you could say I might be biased there.

Rob, it may have been a little sweeping, but the sentiment was still right. Every team has it's scum supporters but Liverpool have more of them and they are scummier than the rest.
I ****ing hate Liverpool

Good argument there...
1) Which fans were resonsible for English clubs being kicked out of Europe for years? 2) Which fans regularily mock Man Utd for the Munich disaster? 3) Which club has the highest percentage of fan trouble in the Premiership?

2) Which fans regularily mock Man Utd for the Munich disaster? And have you looked over the fact about the murderers chant that comes from United fans aimed at Liverpools fans?
