im not anti myself, just nervous. as a fairly new fan some of the names on our roster were legends i heard about from those who have been a panther for a lot longer, it was a bit gutting to see them have a low impact. As for Cote, i think he will get on well in the team, Im a Tessier fan to be honest but can see why Cote would be a better option.

A bit lightweight are you for real Errrrr... well I'd say he's a lightweight compared with Payette, Cornish et al. He might not back off but he's not going to make much impression on them. He would wind them up though and in a perfect world, would then exit smartly and leave Shmyr to sort out the rough stuff.

Ahh would be great for Cote to come back to Panthers but i think its unlikely, from what i gather hes really happy in Italy.

I always found Cote to be entertaining. He would wind a player up, take a beating then skate off as though he had murdered the guy and then try to continue the "discussion" over the timekeepers' box while serving his penalty. I was also impressed with him playing on with a hand injury and could hardly hold his stick properly.
Could do a job for us, but I would still prefer a new face. Preferably one that can actually get himself over here and play some games.

Newcastle answer to any player that is a threat, goon it up. Cote stood up for himself but was not an all out enforcer but would add some well needed grit to the team. When Payette leaves this game it will be welcomed by me. Not gonna ramble on this but cote spent the entire game winding andre up, then appeared shocked when payette attacked him. Newcastles answer to any player a threat is not to goon it up - Name one game this season when we have. One incident against coventry does not count as gooning it up btw. Cote was entertaining, and an ok player, but not sure if he is the right guy you need - maybe a bit lightweight? Weve got Bergin,Shmyr and Neilson to look after guys like Andre. Cote in this team would be very effective because he can go out, play his game, do whatever he likes and have someone backing him up. He did stick up for himself but he is a complete lightweight to be honest. To say he was the enforcer on a team that went for team toughness isnt saying much...

I of course appreciate it's barely a rumour. Just finding it a little bit funny that certain folks were anti signing old players..until one of their faves names crops up. Welcome to the crazy world of the Nottingham Panthers.

I think signing Cote would be an improvement on our current situation. Could we do better than Cote? No idea.

We could have our own show like they have on channel 4 that Justin Lee Colin hosts, the 'bring back the.....'... The bring back the A Team one was good!
We could have 'Bring back the Panthers'

Brandin Cote would be a good addition, he'd be able to play his real game this time rather than also playing enforcer

anyone willing to put anythng forward, never a good sign when even the speculation stopped. Quite a few free agents popping up in Europe.

and we are looking for or may have already found a new netminder, sorry Rasto fans but his days are numbered. this is from a sauce (not HP) within the organisation.

Abit like the rasto factor last season.

That netminder from Clarkey's team has been branded around for a few weeks now from what i have been hearing, but i would be surprised if Rasto was got rid of just yet

I don't think cutting RR is the right thing to do but I think ME will do it.
