I prefer a glass.... call me old fashioned!
The beer at the arena is poor. You are much better getting speckled hen in cans... but of course you cant get that downstairs...
I cant remember getting one really bad pint of HnH smooth.... they were never brilliant... but the IPA ive had so far is woeful. Its not that im not a fan of IPA. I dont mind it at all...

Can`t believe they arn`t doing half pints now. Just fancied a drink last game, but cos i had the car only wanted half, couldn`t believe it, just pints. I had to have a naff cup of coffee instead. Oh and the service is so slow, one person asks you what ya want another then fetches it, while the first person just stands there doing nothing, doesn`t even take your money off you till the other person brings what you ordered i work in a shop and if i was that slow i`d be shot.

I said that last year about the food.
One takes the order, One then tells the other (who probably overheard you in the first place) They then shout it to the next person...
Then the food comes back the same 'chain'
They COULD get rid of that middle man who they are probably paying minimum wage to save some money and bring down the price of my drinks!
I did not ice however in TnDs when I ordered my pint the till said 'Event pint' Does that mean there are 2 different prices for when there is and isnt an event on?

I did notice however in TnDs when I ordered my pint the till said 'Event pint' Does that mean there are 2 different prices for when there is and isnt an event on? It really wouldn't surprise me. I'm just amazed that it takes so long to produce 2 pints! And the staff can never remember an order. "So it was 2 pints of lager?" "Yes, you've asked me 4 times now. It's still 2 pints of lager." That happened every time I went to the bar last night. It's ridiculous, especially since it's so expensive.

Me: Can I have a bottle of Water please? Server: Is that still water? Me: Yes...I haven't changed my mind. lol, bet that went down like a lead balloon. I know there has been a lot of ideas thrown around on here, but do we have any official way of feeding back to the catering company our thoughts on the new pricing. Not that I expect it to change much. But you never know.

I think some of the 'powers that be' from this very forum, met with folks/management/catering peeps of the NIC a season or two ago. Things did improve marginally for a few games (Guinness bar at the barrier anyone?)...but seemed to slip back to shoddy-ness pretty quickly. Maybe an idea is to arrange another meeting? Maybe get the NPSC involved?

This 'poor 'catering seems to be at every rink. I decided tonight at Hull to wait until most peeps were back in their seats waiting for the 2nd period to start before I went to fetch a couple of drinks. Thinking that the original queue would by then be reduced to a trickle. How wrong I was, I missed 24 minutes of the 2nd period. May take flask next time.

Me: Can I have a bottle of Water please? Server: Is that still water? Me: Yes...I haven't changed my mind. That was close to me on Saturday, Ordered pint of beer, couple of bottle of Smirnoff ice and a bottle of water. Spotted they'd got Budweiser so said to the cashier, oh sorry can I swop the pint for a bottle of bud. She turns to the fetch and carry person and in the stroppiest voice ever and says "no beer HE'S just changed his mind!" wouldn't be so bad in a period break but that was just after the doors had opened!!

ha ha... to be fair... besides the serving times at 'ull I cant grumble about service, freindlyness of staff or quality of food... all top notch. Especially whatever the hell the seasoning is on the chips.
NIC take note!

If your really being funny about it I dont think they can legally do much more than ask to see inside your bag... course if you refuse... they can just refuse your entry!
