I'll be glad he hasnt re-signed for us.
To me he's a good player, but nothing special.
He isnt a good enough goalscorer to play that role (judged by the amount of open goals he missed). He has good size but isnt an effective checker and he's not good enough to be called a playmaker.
And he's far too inconsistent for my liking.
Would be nice to see the money spent better.

i would have him back epecially when you look at the player we have already signed
you got to look at him as a player like patterson, eg not very good, but you gotta have em

Petricko has the potential to score a hell of alot of points though, he got about sixty for the Vipes in his first season in the Elite, thats not bad at all

Put Finnerty or Moore on a line with Cooke, Ferrara, Myers or Shmyr ( no offence to those guys but they aren't exactly called playmakers or goalscorers) and they'll suffer just as much as Petricko did this year. The guy can clearly play, as proved in Newcastle, and I think on a line with Voth and Hill he'll do much better. Also proved when he was put with Clarke and Cardarelli, his points tally increased dramatically... And for the money - BARGAIN!

Petricko spent most of the season centering clarke and shmyr Incorrect mate, he spent the beginning of the season, until into January, playing with any two of the following: Blaz Emersic, Steve Simoes, Matt Myers, James Ferrara, James Cooke, Ryan Shmyr, James Neil or Paul Moran. It was into January when he was put on a line with Clarke and Cardarelli, before Cards moved up to join Stevens and Macca, and was replaced by Shmyr. Then when Trev came back Cards moved back with Clarke and Petricko. He was a grafting player who was never gonna set any scoring records this year with the players he was playing with. A very under-rated player, he did a job for us and it worked. If he was that cheap how come its said we offered him alot more than Newcastle could afford? That was bull.... like someone said on the Molin thread, coaches will say things like that so that it doesn't seem to bad to the fans that they have lost them.

will be a miss but not a huge one. Always rated him very highly when he played for newcastle as did the same when he came to us. however not being able to have a significant spell with a certain 2 line mates throughout the season probably is what caused him not to get the 60 or so points he got last year. also the ice time he got was probably a lot less. But i always thought he tried whatever and good luck to him in cardiff, he wont score past rasto so he can hav as many shots as he wants
