I hear on the grapevine that some people from Duisberg were planning to come over and watch their new acquisition for next season in action this weekend - but have decided not to bother, as his team aren't there.
Hmmm.....
I wonder who that could be?

I wonder who leaves teams for more money If you don't like them - a mercenary If you do like them - someone with ambition

Duisburg Foxes will need a lot more than Tessier to make them any good. This year they were awful - the worst DEL team by a distance.

Ha ha! This is a great comedy thread. Funny, but comedy none the less When last I asked (Monday) the 5 offers he has are from europe, but not DEL, and back home. As I said on the signing thread; his second year is an option. He gave assurances he would not 'walk', and that he has honoured. Whatever he does now, good luck to the lad. Our first 4 signings next week BTW. NOT including the 2 year guys.

and of course he wouldnt lie to you now would he nem?.... There is a big difference mate in telling a fan what they want to hear, and answering a direct question from the press (me) falsely, one that will be quoted and appear in print. Now, I am not naive enough to think it never happens, however what would be the point of lying? I didn't ask him if he was coming back, I asked as to the number, nature, and location of any other offers he had had and was considering - he told me. Simple as that mate.

I've heard rumours that he might like to try Europe, and if he does go, good luck to him. I'd rather he didn't though!

Matt's right, despite all his promises to the Sheffield faithful it's Tessier who's off to Germany.
I can hear him now ...
"I love Duisberg, it's a great team and I'll be staying here. My family is settled, the fans are marvellous and I love the city..."

Matt's right, despite all his promises to the Sheffield faithful it's Tessier who's off to Germany. What promises? From my POV, and others who have spoke to him, he has been honest, when saying his intentions are that he wants to honour the 2nd year of his contract, however if an offer comes that makes a signficant improvement on his T+C's he's on in Sheffield, then he would take it. No grumbles from me!!!

He has kept the promise he made to me at the start of the year mate. He said he would stay a full season, and that he has. Good luck to the lad I say.

quick read on the steeltalk stating Tessier been offered an extra $20K - $40K to go to germany and one main reason why he's not sure about going is from his time in switz. altho the source was simmsy
