I really hope Bison, Caps and Hull stay in the league and have Bracknall and MK join us.
MK would get alot of away support from ourselves and Coventry escpecially.
Bracknall and Bison could get some rivalry going and would set a nice rivalry should a London team (or 2) be formed.

really wouldnt make sense for Bison to drop down or any team, from what ive been told they arent the most worse off financially in the league so there surely cant be any reason for them to join the EPL, its miles apart from the EIHL.
also i like them as a team

This was in yesterdays Hull Daily Mail PLAYER CULL AT STINGRAYS 08:00 - 29 March 2007 Coach Rick Strachan plans a close-season import cull in a bid to strengthen Excel Hull Stingrays for the 2007-08 season. Only three of this season's 10 overseas contingent will definitely return, as Strachan revamps the Elite League's most goal-shy team. Having only narrowly avoided the wooden spoon this term, he will turn to North America, rather than his usually- favoured East Europeans to add extra steel to his side. Article Continues >> Click here ! Strachan refused to comment in detail, but confirmed Ukrainian forward duo Anton Butochnov and Sergiy Kharchenko will not be offered new contracts. He said: "We will have a totally new look with lots of new faces. "Only three of our current imports will return, so we're looking for seven new guys, most of whom will be Canadian. "Anton and Sergiy will definitely not return because I feel they're more suited to European-style hockey. "They worked hard, and gave me everything they'd got, but I felt they were a little too individual and tended to over-handle the puck. "The Elite League is a tough league to play in, you have to dish out the puck and go." He refused to be drawn on the futures of his remaining 2006-07 import contingent, although it is thought Ukrainian duo Sergiy Rublivsky and Pavel Gomenyuk are most under threat. It would be a major surprise if Stingrays' player of the year, forward of the year and fans' favourite, Canadian Jeff Glowa, is not offered a new deal, along with defenceman of the year, Ukrainian Nikolai Ladygin. If Strachan is true to his word, plus Ladygin and Glowa do re-sign, then just one import from goalie Miro Bielik, and forwards Dru Burgess and Cole Byers would be in Stingrays' colours for 2007-08. Strachan has already started the ball rolling, with GB international defenceman Dave Phillips re-signing for one more season. Links Hull Stingrays www.hullstingrays.co.uk So It looks like Hull are going to be in next season, and HOPEFULLy a tougher team. I think the 3 he's looking at are Glowa, Ladygin and Byers. Looks like Burgess is retiring anyway to concentrate on his decking business with Strachan . Zero Tolerance worked in our favour up untill it was forgtton about , round about December time......... just when our results dried up. Noteabally the Ukrainien First lines points almost dried up, going on an 8 game no point scoring streak.

Cardiff have released season ticket info and prices for next season, but i have heard that the Basingstoke Bison have applied for epl Hockey. Meaning the number of teams will go down next season. I for one would miss the bison but would happily see Bracknell step back up in to top flight hockey and also once the O2 arena is completed in London i would like to see The London Knights return.

I think Basingstoke and Bracknell will amalgamate, creating one Elite League team.

Still not gonna happen.
Bracknell do not need Basingstoke.
Basingstoke may need a cash injection (Headline sponsor like Wella used to be) but 2 will not become 1.
I would be very surprised to say the least.
Also Doug Shep is as good as the head coach for Bison next year.
Speaking with Bisons fans at the Final weekend he has been offered the job and it is his if he wants it.

We heard that the couple who own Bracknell are the new owners of Basingstoke, that they want to bring in the Bracknell Head Coach and Doug will be a player/coach. The money freed up by not owning the team will allow Planet Ice to refurb the rink. This came from someone directly involved in the whole thing via friends who are Bison fans. I agree that the two teams won't merge though.

How about a new team in Scotland. Maybe playing out of Dundee, but not the Dundee team that is already there. Heard a whisper in the wind......
