No chance
unless we have a very good player lined up that is, which is highly unlikely

I don't understand why people only think Petricko is here so he can translate...

Problem is people still perceive him to be one of our main goal/point scorers!! When he was first signed there was no doubt he could play and put up the points and it was obviously his job and game plan to get goals and points!! However with players like Clarke and McAslan, and now Cardarelli, scoring and being the teams goal scorers he now has to play a different game!! If he was one of our main threats to the goal he wouldn't be playing with Neil/Mopes/Cooke/Ferrare, no disrespect to them!! He know plays a more physical game and whilst obviously is still trying to score/assist, its not his job to be the teams main scorer!!

I wouldn't like to see him leave, although I don't think he's as good as Jan. They are different types of player though.

I would like to see him go.
He offers neither a scoring touch or a physical threat and is largely invisable for 99% of the games.
I just dont see what he brings to this team.

not sure if we are watching the same games Matt 44. invisable (dont think so) as has been said before he is not a out and out scorer for us but he is doing a good job for the team. If he went the team would be weaker not stronger can think of at least three ahead in the getting rid of section, Moran, Casey, Myers.
to quote you what do these three bring to the team.

Well people see the games differently, myself and friend who sits next to me honestly go through games without noticing Petricko doing anything constructive. You cant serioulsy say get rid of Moran or Myers as they are Brits and he's an import. What other Brits are you going to replace them with? Plus Neilson's a D-man whereas Petricko is a Forward............

talking about the whole team picture if you get rid of cory you get a better dman in maybe. if you get rid of myers who has given away so many stupid penalties at vital times you scan the lower leagues or another elite team for a better brit, and as for Moran he may be a brit but for sure he is totally off his game this season, so in his case ditto the myers theory, the point i am making is that Matus is at this moment a better player for us than all of these three guys. ;D but as you say this is a site for opinions and we see matus differently but we both would like to see the panthers winning more often.

I think its very unfair to put Myers in that category. We dont have enough players who are willing to grab hold of a game and stand up and be counted, Matt does that and tries to have an impact...unlike certain players ie someone whos name is in the title of this thread! Not saying hes a great player by all means but last season when things didnt go well too many players hid and didnt want to be on the puck, Matt at least, this season does. How many other players do you see starting from the back, helping out our shambolic breakout and taking the puck from our zone into the attacking zone and getting set up? Back on topic I dont think he will be leaving but who knows whats going on behind the scenes

Can't get a link to that story but have been told today by a Newcastle person and a Coventry person that Matus had handed in his notice, The Coventry source is quite reliable as it was them that mentioned Ellis coming 10 days before he signed.

Aparentley he`s not happy with the amount of ice time he gets. To be honest Petricko`s been one of the players i`ve not really noticed much for us, but when he was at Vipers he seemed to stand out. oh well, don`t think changing a player at this stage will make any difference to where we finish in the league.

No but could help to have a decent run in the play offs
