Yup, well done guys - as i always say, if Vipers can't win a cup, then Ihope its panthers. the only thing left for ellis to win now is the league now - what odds next year?

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I would go as far to say as this is my favourite cup win of all the ones I've seen over the years. They really run us ragged in the first period and we responded brilliantly. A scary few minutes in the third when they made it 4-2 but I didn't really feel they were going to do enough to stop us.
Really really happy! Well done Panthers! The first Nottingham Panthers side ever to win major honours in consecutive seasons. ;D

Thanks Nem, Borussia and ranger. Just got back and I just can't get that smile off my face. We damn well made hard work for ourselves but we did it and thats what matters. We need to secure the services of Ellis long term imo. Courtenay leaving Giants in the summer and Matsos possibly going if he wins nothing this year could well mean an offer comes in for our most successful coach in my living memory

What a night! I missed the play off win so I'm really chuffed I was there tonight. Steelers put up a good fight, I've got no nails left what so ever. And fair play to who I'm guessing was a steelers fan in the white t-shirt, staying behind to clap off the panthers. I know I couldn't have done that if shuff won. LETS GO PANTHERS LETS GO!!

Well done guys, you had a game plan and stuck to it. I'm sure letting Steelers get the first 2 was planned The Steelers deserve some credit, they did what they had to, but it was just too much for them. Thanks also to the non Panthers congratulations, that's classy. Just one final thing. I blame Diana Ross ;D

Cheers guys! And to Glynn who stayed to watch the presentations. A ten minute spell in the second period proved to be enough for us to lift the cup. We were outplayed on the night but I guess that didn't really matter though I was mighty nervous when the lead dropped to a single goal... Pity that empty net attempt hit the post - a draw on the night would have been more satisying. But what the heck - it's in the record books that Panthers won the Challenge Cup in 2008 - and it feels good!

Yes, the Steelers made us work.Badly at times as I just knew the Sheffield team would and did want it more when it was needed. Well, it's a two game final and we did the better. Thanks to those posting Congrats....

Congratulations to ALL at Panthers. You did it the hard way, with us biting our nails, but there was no way we were going to give them the run around a la last Saturday. You got the result in the end. Well done. Thanks for your kind comments from steelerland.

Panthers really know how to make the fans suffer!
Thought steelers outplayed us tonight but we still did it. Reminds me back in the day if Steelers had the likes of Cranston and Plommer then I really feel they would have lifted the cup.
Credit to both sets of fans and players if Lehman had have played both legs then maybe they would have lifted the cup but we did and thats all that matters
